The service here is above par. The bill was decent. This place has many great reviews for a reason.

Sub-par BBQ and sides at high prices from a food truck. The pulled pork BBQ was bland and not much was provided. Neither the sweet nor original BBQ sauces helped it much. The plate came with two sides for $13. Not only was the pork minimal, but so were the sides. For that price I'd expect much more; you'd get more and better food at almost any BBQ restaurant in town. The gentleman running the truck said it had been a slow day. Now I know why. I won't be a patron again. The potato salad was average at best; pretty sure it was straight out of a tub from the grocery store (tasted just like some I got at Walmart a few months back). The baked beans also tasted like they were from a Bush's Beans can. The coleslaw is what they called "German based", which I guess means vinegar taste and crunchy. Maybe they actually made it, not sure. It was okay, but not something I'd get again.

If I could give this food truck a -2 stars I would. What has been served to me was barely passable as food. Total lack of culinary finesse to justify the exorbitant price. I ate here twice to give them benefit of the doubt but the 2nd time was just plain insulting. The $12 ($13+ post-tax) shrimp tacos were just 3-4 tiny shrimps barely sauteed with flavorless coleslaw on a cold dry flour tortilla. The $9 ($10+ post-tax) pork tacos had a pungent rubber smell as if it was cooked the day before and just re-heated in a microwave. Did I mention it the artery-stopping grease that came out of them but yet they were somehow dry to the bone? If you value your stomach and your wallet, please for the love of God don't eat here.

We were at The Medical University of South Carolina for a procedure. They don't have a cafeteria but highly recommended the food truck. I had pulled pork with Mac n cheese and Coleslaw sides. Service was fine. They had a selection of 6 sauces and I tried 2 as well as leaving part of the pulled pork plain. Good flavor except the meat was too salty. The sweet and tangy was good. The vinegar based sauce had even more salt. The sides were decent and tasty. Will be returning to MUSC for an appointment in 2 months and look forward to catching the food truck to try other selections.
