The woman at the front counter was so kind and patient. I asked her if she could cut my breakfast sandwich in half and she actually boxed it separately and put a side in each box. This was above and beyond in my opinion! Not to mention the food was INCREDIBLE! I had such a wonderful experience and will be going back if I’m in the area again.

Salad bar is excellent, but they have to get it for you, which is kind of a pain in the butt.

East bay deli is a surprising and tasty deli located in downtown Charleston. No short cuts here. It's a deli specializing in lunch the old deli way. High on hot corned beef and hot pastrami. Located near museums, this is a no nonsense eatery that has what you're looking for. Yeh, yeh--it's not a New York deli, but neither is a New York deli. So enjoy already. You'll thank me for opening this door. Voted best.

I went to East Bay Deli because they are one of the few places that have a salad bar. I was so disappointed when I got there and found out it was no longer self serve. Needless to say, I ended up just getting a sandwich and soup because I don't need anyone else fixing my salad for me. I would not have gotten anything but the person I was with wanted something else on the menu. I am grown and am able to make my own salad. That being said, this was my last trip there. I will not be returning and that is really disappointing.

Another local favorite. When we come to Charleston, we always dine here for lunch. Sandwiches are great, but salad bar and desserts are mmmmmm great!!

Local sub shop that started downtown. They have the best sandwiches and salad bar in town.

I order the same thing every time I order from any EBD. It never fails, when I order from the West Ashley location, they always forget my chips. It wouldn't be so bad, if i didn't pay extra for the Voodoo chips. :/

We were crazing salad and have always really enjoyed their salad bar. They have changed things alittle, you pay for all you can eat salad bar or one trip to the salad bar. The salad bar is no longer self serve, they fix the salad for you. Not crazy about the new concept, but the salad was still good!
