My encounter with the young lady who opened the door was not very pleasant. There was a sign on the door that stated "be back in an hour". There was another young lady sitting inside. I made the assumption that maybe someone forget to take the sign down. We'll, I quickly discovered that the sign was still in effect and I had to return in an hour. All I wanted to know was what should I return.

The food is always great! I love the beef bbq ribs! They are always so flavorful and tender. I can use my plastic fork and easily pull it apart, OMG!!

I placed a takeout this morning at 11ami received my food at 12pm which is fine because they don't open until 12pm when I got my food it was awful it tasted spoiled and as if it was sitting out overnight it was disgusting the fish tasted like it was cooked in old grease it smelled bad I really hate that I have to leave this review I tried calling the restaurant multiple times however the phone isn't working. This is disappointing

AMAZING! A must-visit for authentic soul food if you're in Charleston. We had the ribs, fried chicken, mac and cheese, and collard greens. Every single thing we had was sublime - and you can't beat the prices. There are a few tables to eat there but it seems that most of the business is takeaway.
