If you are captive to the hotel as a guest wishing to spend amenity dollars here, may be a decent breakfast in a pinch. But I recommend you strongly consider avoiding.Coffee poured hot then a 7-minute wait for cream while the coffee gets cold.Other examples:- scrambled Eggs served room-temp- toast served cold- Breakfast potatoes served cold- waffles served cold. Couldn’t melt a pat of butter on these chilly waffles, and syrup in small bottles on the table that are also room temp. A bad combo- sausage served lukewarm- smoothie served barely chilled- pastries forgettable— same issues across two separate breakfasts.

We celebrated my husband‘s birthday dinner at the Gabrielle Charleston. The ambience was fantastic. The food was to perfection. Both my husband and I enjoyed our experience. Our waiters were professional, courteous, kind and helpful and anything we wanted they would do for us they created an excellent birthday lemon birthday tart, it's a happy birthday message written on the plate and chocolate, very elegant and refined the app gives five stars but they deserve 10. I hope if you ever get to Charleston that you will visit the Gabrielle Charleston and the Bennett hotel. You won't be disappointed!

Service was super and restaurant is lovely. Second time there for lunch, first time eating inside. I guess I forgot what a limited menu they had for lunch, my fault there. The she crab soup serving was a bit small. It was maybe a partial cup of soup in this giant bowl with a very large flat rim. It was sort of laughable, like they were doing all they could to make it seem like more soup (a serving cost 19.00.) in a giant bowl. It's just soup, throw another tablespoon or so in. Will stick to the patisserie next time.

Had lunch there with a friend. Fabulous she-crab soup served in a gorgeous bowl. Delicious salads and sandwiches. Server was very attentive and sweet. This was the perfect place for a quiet and delicious lunch.

Wonderful lunch out with 3 daughters to celebrate an occasion. Felt like a lovely oasis in a busy city. Service was above and beyond. Lunch menu was nice and food very good. We enjoyed some great mocktails as well. Will definitely return.

My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful experience. From the time we arrived until the time we left, the Staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our visit. The food and service were excellent. Their Management Team also helped me arrange special surprises for my wife and they even surprised us both on a few things. Overall, it was a dinner celebration that the both of us will never forget.

The food was brought to us already cold and our server wasn’t interested in making it right for us, he gave an impression that he wasn’t working there (like not interested at all) he apologized and that’s it , didn’t even ask to make it right. And the prices are not cheap, for that amount of money charged for a plate I would expect to enjoy and and have it warm, thank you

Lobster veloute was unique & interesting. Pear poached salad was not anything special. The pork tenderloin was wonderful, as was the flounder (monkfish??). Sorbets were not good. Blood orange sorbet was freezer burned. SNOB & Queen 82 run circles around Gabrielle.

Upscale atmosphere and menu. Friendly and professional staff. My husband got the ribeye and I got the scallops. We shared truffle fries and they were amazing!

Gabrielle Charleston was a wonderful place to dine and have breakfast. My Wife and I enjoyed both opportunities and will absolutely return again. The meals were excellent and the service outstanding. Thank you for a memorable time.

Best lunch anywhere in Charleston and we are locals. The blue crab croissant sandwich, she crab soup, pesto fettuccine with large prawns, and the blueberry salad with prawns, all delicious!!! Chocolate truffle with Grand Marnier sauce and lemon curd black pepper cake were both to die for and not too sweet. Our waiter Bono couldn't have been sweeter or more efficient at his job. And the dining room was elegant, bright and beautiful!

I feel that the food was very overpriced for the actual quality. Charleston is known for its amazing cuisine! I ordered a wild mushroom risotto with scallops. The risotto was very ordinary. The truffle fries tasted like regular fries that you get at Wendy's. We were a group of 4 and all felt the same. The service was good but we won't be coming back.

I've been to a lot of high end restaurants and had heard a lot of buzz about the restaurants at Hotel Bennett. I would have to say as a foodie and lover of high end restaurants and good experiences, this was very low on my scale. The ambiance and service was great! The brined chicken, mashed potatoes and Brussels I ordered tasted like it came off the buffet at a Golden Coral. Mind you I am 52 and haven't been to a buffet since I was 10 years old. Probably will not go back when there are so much better restaurants in the Charleston area:

The restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe. Unfortunately it appeared that the kitchen was not prepared to support dinner service. Many items were not available. The staff was kind and professional. The food was good but provided a low value, even for downtown Charleston. Unless I am staying in the hotel, I believe I can find alternatives that will provide greater value.
