I have been following this wonderful donut shop for a long time and finally got the chance to do a pickup order today. I am so sad that they are closing their doors next week. The heart of this operation was Allison who unfortunately is no longer here with us. This donut shop was her passion and soul. I am grateful for the opportunity to get to try what she was so passionate about and see all the support from the Charleston community support this business in their final days. You will truly be missed Glazed and I wish you all the best in the future and on your next chapter. Much love, Melissa M.

I love all of their donuts, however the bacon apple fritter is my absolute favorite! I'm so sad to hear y'all will be closing next week and we will miss you soo much!

Bad stale donuts, overly political atmosphere, terrible service.

There is definitely a lack of customer service! I ordered donuts for delivery (birthday surprise for daughter) and did not realize the online ordering is always for next day (scroll to the very bottom of the order page to find that info). I tried to call the store from 10am-2pm to change my order and no one answered. Went to voicemail so I left 3 messages. I also messaged them on IG and no reply. They don’t bother! I had to go pick up the donuts because no one would help me make any changes! Then I left a message asking to refund my delivery fee. AGAIN NO REPLY! So make sure you don’t need any help, need to ask a question, or expect any kind of customer service…you won’t get it. And their website offers no email or a way to cancel an order. Enjoy the donuts but don’t expect anything of the employees.

Such a disappointing experience. We came in on a Sunday and the first thing I noticed was the overwhelming smell of floor cleaner. Apparently they decided Sunday morning was the time to clean the very mess floor. The line was short but since all the employees but one were cleaning, it was slow. The girl waiting on people used one glove (and changed it often) but let touching her hair with the other. Get them baseball hats. We ordered an apple fritter and a lemon old fashioned. The LOF was 1/2 the size of the other donuts but still cost $3.25 and it was so stale. That donut had to be days old. I threw it out before we made it to the door. The apple fritter was better but not as good as Hero.

Doughnut amazing, coffee meh. Loved our bannoffee doughnut. It really had fresh sliced bananas and the fluffy whipped cream on top was heavenly. We smelled amazing delicious baked goods when we walked in and it tasted THAT amazing. The salted Nutella latte iced with almond milk was good. Pretty salty though, so that's a once and done for us. The americano was totally watered down to overflowing from the cup, no good. Messy and missing the espresso flavor. Service was top notch. Kudos to counter staff who were patient with a random stranger claiming to have been mugged and waxing poetic about mental health struggles and no cash. They gave him a free glazed and sent him on his way. Very kind. We came at a slow time, only one other table occupied. Staff was most interested in their own cell phones over making themselves busy, but that's the norm now. Atmosphere is okay, right on king street and people watching from the window seats is great. Tables needed a wiping. The bench seat is nice and cushy but all the chairs are the hard metal, unforgiving type. Great spot to grab a doughnut, not designed for lingering.

Disappointed. Only 6 different donuts available. Girl behind counter had very long curly hair. Not pulled back. Gross. $4.25 per donut. The Boston Cream had brown filling....odd. ...

Very good doughnuts! Excellent service. The Creamsicle doughnut was one of the best doughnuts we have ever tasted.

The only problem with this shop is that it's forever spoiled other donuts for me! Their unique variety of flavors is amazing, even offering gluten free choices. The staff provides the same great service whether they're slammed or quiet.

This is hands down the best donut place in Charleston. Duck Donuts, Keispy Kreme, Dunkin and Baked don't even compare. The donuts are always so fresh and the flavors are on point and change often. They always have their steadfast ones like vanilla glazed, raspberry and apple bacon fritter , but then they have rotating flavors like key lime pie, the Charleston, the Purple Goat and my favorite, Earl gray and blackberry. Really love that you can pre-order a box the day before and pick them up in the morning because they sell out fast. One critique I will make is that they can be careless or skimpy when they fill their donuts. This has happened over the years but it seems to happen more often. We got a dozen donuts and six were "cream filled" but only two of those six had any cream and it wasn't more than a squirt. Nobody wants an overflowing donut but it would be nice to not have to search for a flavor.
