TEN STARS! I cannot recommend Hamby's enough!! We used them for catering our Wedding reception and the food was outstanding! If you get the opportunity, ask to work with Bellamy! She is super insightful when it comes to wedding catering, and guided us through the whole process with ease! Everyone loved the hors d'oeuvres and stations she recommended! The service was top notch!! Of course, we ended the evening with a late night snack of their famous tea sandwiches and everyone was ecstatic!

My wife and I had the privilege of Hamby’s services for our wedding this past weekend. We live in Boston but were married on Kiawah Island, just outside of Charleston. I am a former chef and my wife is a sommelier, so It was very important to us that we provided an authentic and thoughtful Southern menu for our guests that traveled from around the country and my goodness did Hamby deliver.We elected for a few passed appetizers for cocktail hour; Mini tomato pie , Peach and strawberry crostini, & their Sweet potato biscuit with Carolina ham. All three were elegant, delicious and fresh as could be.We had three stations for dinner; Low-Country Shrimp & Grits, Beef Short rib, and Gouda Macaroni & Cheese & Fried Chicken. We were universally approached by our guests about how stunning everything was.Hamby’s staff is not to be forgotten. Their station attendants, servers, bar team, and our brilliant conductor Caroline were professionals in the truest sense. Caroline moves faster than you’ve ever seen someone move. In the trenches with her team, pouring wine at a table one moment and clearing plates on the other side of the room in a blink.Caroline was massively accommodating of my wife’s dream to curate her own wedding’s wine selection and her team poured with purpose. We even had a secret password for the top-shelf stuff for particular guests that the team guarded with their lives!Planning a wedding from 1500 miles away is challenging. We are grateful to everyone at Hamby for flawlessly executing our vision. You and your guests would be lucky to have them for your special day.

12 college friends wanted to have a special dinner catered for their 80th birthday. I sent an inquiry to Hamby and got a curt reply with no follow up. I had seen some negative reviews on yelp and would certainly add my negative review to theirs. I had filled out a survey on their website and entered an amount per person, which I considered to be a starting point to the discussion of what we wanted. Luckily, we found two caterers, Chef Katie and Rosemary and Rye, who were wonderful and willing to work with us. The total cost was twice what we had paid five years ago, but we were all happy with the results.
