I LOVE this restaurant!! It is a regular recommendation to those who are visiting Charleston and want something amazing off the beaten path- the Sushi is TOP NOTCH and sooooo worth the price! Big rolls and the flavors go SO WELL together!!!

I won't be coming back to this place again. We arrived towards the end of the peak dinner rush, and waited wayyy too long to be seated. The place was not even packed. The music was annoyingly loud and it took forever to get our food. The classic sushi rolls were weak. I'd rather eat sushi from Harris Teeter. The signature rolls were, mehh. The restroom was nasty and my wife was afraid to touch anything. The hostess was chatting with the bartender, while more people came and waited to be seated. The staff didn't have a sense of urgency at all. The Thursday half off sushi is misleading. Apparently it's only for classic rolls? That would have been nice to know. I didn't ask to confirm that when we got our bill bc the family was so ready to leave. Worst money I've spent on food and sh!tty service in a lonng time. Only good experience was our waitress was polite. It wasn't her fault it took so long to be seated and to prepare our food.

I cannot say enough great things about Gabbie and Haley at the outside bar! We went on a Tuesday night, and the vibe they create out there is unmatched! The music was on point, and their service was SO good! They are so fun, so efficient, and so friendly and welcoming! We plan to come back every Tuesday now.

Went there for the first time the other night. Everyone had some sort of sushi so we could try as many different things as possible. The sushi was prepared excellently but tasted just OK. Waitress was not unfriendly but seemed impatient getting our order. We came early so it wasn't very busy at all. One of our party got some pub food which he really liked. If it wasn't two for one sushi night we would've been disappointed with the bill as we didn't think it was worth the price otherwise.

Stopped in here before Xmas while visiting family. Odd combination of a sports bar with bar food as well as a sushi bar. I had some Tasty sashimi. Great service. Will be back.

We went in for lunch today as i’ve heard raving reviews. I was disappointed in my whole experience. The server was rude, the food was terrible, and the restrooms were dirty.When the server came to take our order i asked for a specialty roll with items removed (as i’m a picky eater) and the women was snarky about it. As a paying customer i thought it was very rude considering i work in the industry and all she had to do was click a few buttons. The food is a whole other situation. Our rolls came out before our app. The rice used on the rolls was mushy almost like a paste and our edamame had no salt on it. At this point we asked for our bill and my boyfriend went to the restroom and gagged on the smell of straight pee. I’m very disappointed in my experience and will not be returning.

I came to locals tonight after work for some good sushi and I had one of the most terrible experiences l ever had. Those who know me personally know that I don’t complain in restaurants because I worked in the food industry previously and it’s a tough field. My group of four sat at the high top that seats eight. We knew we had a fifth joining us so our server told us to hold a seat so they didn’t accidentally seat another party beside us (the server was lovely). As our sushi arrived, an overweight balding man approached my fifth friend (who was in the middle of eating) and got in her face aggressively, instructing her to move so he could seat another party. Before she could respond (she quite literally had food in her mouth) he began shoving her plates towards our side, hitting all of our plates and knocking cups in the process. When he did this, he knocked one of our drinks and said nothing. Menus were on the other side, and he placed them on top of the edges of the plates (with food still on them). I’ve never had a manager be so disrespectful and rude to me and friends. We will never return to this establishment. The sushi is great and the servers are nice. I hope the manager got my note on my receipt.

Maybe we ordered wrong but we just went with what the server recommended. If you’re used to good sushi I wouldn’t come here you’ll be disappointed. We got the Charleson and it wasn’t bad (not great either) but the other roll definitely was not it. Lesson learned, don’t go get sushi at a pub that also serves burgers. Wasn’t planning on writing a review so I only have a picture of the roll that we didn’t eat much of!
