We loved this restaurant so much that we came two nights in a row while on our vacation. Amazing food, the best bread I’ve ever had, and excellent service. They have unique vegetarian options as well.

We always bring our friends and our out towner friens to Magnolias. It's a guaranteed perfect meal to eat downtown, brunch, lunch or dinner.

This was our first trip to Charleston and asking around were to go for dinner several people recommended Magnolias. We were not disappointed. The service and food were top notch. We started off with the Brussel Sprouts for an appetizer, they were fantastic, (wrote down the recipe to make these at home). My wife got the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and I got the Blacken Catfish. they both were great. If you want a good Southern dinner this is the place to go.

Hidden Gem of Charleston. First time going on Friday night but definitely not my last. The bartender that was the for 20 years, I can’t remember his name but he was great. Thanks for a great experience. See you soon!

I was disappointed with my fried chicken, mashed potatoes and greens. The potatoes were extremely hard and full of gravy. Chicken breast was too cooked. My husband loved his bouillabaisse.

Best place we ate at on Charleston. Mac was a great server. Kudos to him. Really made for a great experience. Food was incredible. Best pork chop I’ve ever had. Collard greens were delicious. If you eat anywhere in Charleston, make sure it’s here. And start with the fried green tomatoes.

Fried Green Tomatoes and Pan Fried Chicken Livers were amazing ? local catch parmesan crusted Flounder over shrimp was excellent! Be ready to eat if you order the buttermilk fried chicken, lots on a plate and delicious. Fantastic service too!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and we were not disappointed! The waiter was just lovely and the food was excellent! For main course we had a salmon steak with mushrooms and rice which was delicious and a fried chicken with mash which was also very good (even if perhaps a little heavy for my taste). However, I think that it remains a little expensive for what it is: reason for my rating of only 4/5. I still recommend it!

Following a walk tour of historic Charleston, we were left at the Pineapple Fountain not sure of what to do other than we wanted to eat! A short walk to East Bay St provided the answer as we arrived at Magnolia's at just the right time. On our list to try but struggling to get a reservation we were pleasantly surprised when we snagged a walk-in friendly bar high table. Score!Offering classics from the south Magnolia's has a nice selection of options for the lunch time crowd. Our meal included The Tomato Bisque Soup (very good...nice, light and very tasty but without an overall tomato-y taste) followed by the Crab Cake Sandwich (excellent...super tasty and crispy crab cake with a great sauce) and the Fried Green Tomato BLT (also excellent with nice crispy bacon and also a great sauce).Service was super friendly (as you'd expect from in the South...clearly I'm from the North) in a busy, hoping and casual environment. Definitely worth a visit but try to get a reservation first (or come before noon) when within minutes of noon the walk-in's take all the available tables. Enjoy!

Had been looking forward to Magnolias after countless recommendations. Good food, though the service was lacking with our server forgetting about us in the back dining room. For a restaurant trying to put together an atmosphere encompassing food and service it lacked the service arm for Sunday brunch. Be aware if you plan a special occasion that staff is not as attentive (at least for this Sunday brunch experience).
