This is one of our fav restaurants in Charleston! We just celebrated our anniversary there on Monday and had such a great time! Kari was our waitress and she was absolutely wonderful! She was extremely attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable! She even brought me bug spray because I was getting bit by mosquitoes. I will always recommend this place to locals or out of town visitors!

Loved the ambiance, cutlery, place settings, glassware... I know that's weird to review but it's adorable in here. We walked in late on a Monday and they let us dine at bar with no reservation, which we appreciated after hiking from our air BNB and taking a shot unannounced. Good drinks, great food, approoriate amount of Parm on my mafalde pasta (lol)... Gorgeous olive oil. Try it!

This place was great. The food was so unique. It was comforting and cute. It was like an open warm fire in the winter.

Incredible experience! The cocktails were lovely — I could drink the Ex-Royal exclusively for the rest of my life and be so happy. Ethan was THE best waiter — and their Uber score of 4.98 confirms it! The gnudi were a religious experience. The pastas were all mouth-watering (the duck and the bolognese were spectacular). We sat on the patio with heaters that kept us comfortable in the evening. Loved the experience. Cannot more highly recommend this spot!

Experience tonight was amazing, thank you so much to Donny for showing us to a great evening. He made great recommendations and was lots of fun to hang out with. He also made us feel like we were a special table which was cool. The support staff was also great and super attentive. The food was 10/10, we had the big pork shank, a few pastas, pizza and some appetizers. Id recommend getting a pizza as an app because its so authentic honestly, and the fried artichokes were a must. Entres were definitely the star of the show, which is something i prefer when i go out to eat. Also id say its 100% worth it to get dessert. The drinks were delicious, I had a mezcal cocktail that was very tasty for the type of mezcal it was, and i had a remix on a manhattan that was a MUST HAVE.Overall, great experience! Donny did such a good job of taking us through our experience, will definitely be back.

I just sat down at the bar for 2 minutes and instead of serving me they said oh we have to check to see if we have any reservations.... the hostess actually greeted me on the way in and then came over saying that she would have to check if they had any reservations if the bartender and Hostess don't know whether they have any reservations at the bar when there's at least six seats open I think the service speaks for itself... looks like a nice spot but they couldn't pay me to eat there

Great food and friendly service. My only request would be to add bag hooks for sitting at the bar.

Executive Chef Kegu is a gift from god. Sit at the bar facing the kitchen and order an olive oil infused gin. Get one of the pizzas, the wood fired peppers, the tuna crudo, the gnudi, and/or the Mafalde. Save room for dessert- the plums or the tiramisu are divine; the wood fired sweet peppers, are a fabulous alternative if you don’t have the sweetest tooth, like me.

Atmosphere was great. Would be the prefect place for a date night. We ordered appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I had a few favorites. For appetizers, I really enjoyed the Prosciutto and Burrata. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was delicious. My favorite entree was the Mafalde although the Bucatini had the strongest flavor (in a good way) and the Paccheri offered a delicious combination of tender duck and pasta. For dessert, we ordered the Tiramisu and Blood Orange and Pistachio Zeppola. The Tiramisu had a very dominant rum flavor so the Zeppolas were my favorite. We were there for about three hours and it was overall a great experience.??Parking: Parking lot for Melfies’ customers. May get filled up fast later into the night.

Best Italian restaurant in Charleston! I usually don’t rave about salads, but the Sort of Spicy Caesar is without question the best version of a Caesar I’ve ever tried.
