Not sure why I have not eaten here. I'm just not in the area as much. The pecan crusted salmon salad and fried green tomatoes were extremely good. Great service and had a very enjoyable lunch there.

We wish there were half stars because really the food is above a 3, but not quite a 4. Some of the food was great, some not so good, which gave us an uneven experience. Standouts included the excellent fried chicken (some of the best we have had in the area), delicious cornbread, and a very tasty brisket sandwich. Disappointments included stewed okra that was basically tomatoes with just a bit of okra, and flat, rather flavorless buttermilk biscuits with liquid butter (yuck).Service was friendly and the ambiance was fine. There is a super cool room in the back of the restaurant with a wall that is decorated with all the dishware from the previous restaurant in that location. That is truly remarkable and it's worth taking a closer look.
