THIS PLACE IS CLOSED. I just put in an order online and they gladly took my money but the restaurant is closed and they don’t answer the phone. I will have to take this up with my bank. They were a very lovely family establishment I’m just very upset they still have their website up and running for the folks that don’t know they are closed! Turn off your online orders please!!

This place is closed permanently. Their online website accepted my payment - when I went to the location is was permanently closed. Place was gutted, dumpster out front, mailbox is full of mail. Looked abandoned. I had to go through my bank to dispute this purchase.

Rate this a Zero if I could. Stale rice 1 month old chicken. It’s a talent to make this type of Chicken Tikka Horrible. You call this Authentic No way.

Chicken was extremely over cooked, sauce wasn’t very flavorful, just tasted like tomato soup.

Let me share how this restaurant does business.Update: I was told in the owner's reply I shouldn't order food from Nirlep if I can't "afford" it.It's not about the $$. It's the fact you rip your customers off.We ordered samosas, raita and naan to compliment our dinner. This order was in the $$.Here’s what we got:1/4 cup of runny raita. As in, water. We were charged $3.00 for this. One piece of Naan. The size of my hand. We were charged $2.50.We got 2 samosas for $7. SEVEN DOLLARS. They were barely filled. Banana for scale. And when I called to complain, the guy hung up on me, because of course he did.

We ordered two mutton Biryani and as it was approaching 3pm they didn’t let us eat inside. What a terrible manner! The mutton biriyani was so disappointing. I have never tasted this type of tasteless biriyani. It was filled with bell pepper which was shocking. There was no salt in the food. It felt like they just added few mutton with their veg biriyani!! I will not recommend this food at all if You're looking for quality spicy biriyani. And the quantity was also bad. I have tried Taste of india Monroe and Indias Restaurant shreveport, those were really satisfactory. But today this indian restaurant gave me a disaster with their biriyani.

As you walk in the place stinks. The entire place is dirty, old and unclean . Buffet was not good at all! Vegetarian options were sad looking and saltiness and flavorless . No soap in the bathroom, the bathroom door doesn’t open completely…It’s overpriced for what they serve you . Should have gone to the chipotle across the street!

It's a little hole-in-the-wall type of place with attentive staff and great prices. They also have the best tandoori chicken in town. Go for that alone.

They used to have the best Indian food in Charleston, but they said they can't find workers so the food is now inconsistent. They must not have written recipes because you can tell different people cook on different days because of how different it tastes and looks. The atmosphere is not great at all. Usually they have no AC and the bathrooms are REALLY dirty. The owners said they are closing in October to redo the entire place so hopefully when they reopen they fix the food the inconsistencies to go along with the new place.

I hate to write a bad review of one of the only Indian food places in the area, but the food I ordered last night was truly awful. The curry (dal makhani) was watery and completely flavorless. Not spicy and not even savory, if I had to compare the taste to something it would be spit. Pair that with leathery, stale naan— and you’ve got the meal I paid $40 for. Totally ridiculous, I don’t think I’m coming back. It’s a shame because I really liked this place in the past.

Excellent food (I got the lamb korma & garlic naan- both top notch) and very generous portions at reasonable prices. Will definitely return!
