Every bite was a complete delight! Fresh raw bar was ready to go and satisfied everybody at the table. The oyster Po boy as well as the smashburger were the perfect size. Service is great, it was busy yet everything was quick, tasty and met my expectations!

Friends hooked us on crab cakes, oysters, and beef tartare. Second visit was as good or better than the first. Taryn was a perfect server. Will drag other visitors from IOP all the way downtown for this place.

The happy hour drinks and oysters were good. The menu items we had were not that great. My husband's "winter Caesar salad" was just an overdressed Caesar without the kale in the description, and barely any of the broccoli, anchovy croutons and something else that was listed. My fish Milanese was also lacking in the ingredients in the accompanying salad that was supposed to make it more interesting, more than just lettuce. In a town of very good restaurants, this is not one of them.
This was actually my first time visiting Rappahannock oyster bar! Our friends have raved about it. I have to say the oysters were so fresh and delicious, the scallops were outstanding, and even the fish and chips were delicious with a nice crisp batter. This place is definitely in the running for my top Seafood destination!

We ate at the bar and the food was excellent. The bartender was friendly. We didn't have to wait long for the food. The drinks were made well. The place has a nice ambiance. I ordered scallops which was considered a small plate and it was plenty of food. I had never had scallops prepared the way they were and I was pleasantly surprised. My friend had linguini and clams and they were very good. Other friends had the oysters and liked them. I'm from California and if I come back to St.Charleston I would definitely return.
LOVED this place!! We are not oyster people! We LOVED the bar-b-que & the grilled oysters. We had a great time, our server , Chase, was awesome and made great recommendations!! We'd definitely come back. Not cheap but worth every penny. The wine was delish. Highly recommend Rappahannock!!

Some of the best oysters in Charleston in my opinion - and you can’t beat the price, especially at Happy Hour. The ceviche and crab cake are also MUST HAVE items! They take reservations, but we’ve always been able to find a seat at the bar if we get there early. Absolutely love Rappahannock :)

This is a go to place for my husband and I when we visit Charleston. Every visit we get a dozen of Rappahannock oysters, a Po' Boy, and either the smoked fish dip or crab dip. It's truly phenomenal and definitely a highlight to our trip!
The food was outstanding! This culinary team will have me coming back again and again! Service was excellent and ambiance was fun, casual romantic & welcoming. Overall the perfect Charleston dining experience.
Our experience with Rappahannock was perfection! Diana was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The mid-day mocktail was wonderful. The caviar was delicious! Everything we ordered was amazing!
