The service was really bad. The order took way too long. The meat portion was very small that you could count it easily. I do not think that it was worth the price.

Excellent customer service. Excellent tasting food. I've been coming here for years. Definitely not for the "mall" shopping. I ONLY love this place and its the ONLY one here on our coast! I've seen the chef working there for years, YEARS, now. He's such a sweet soul. THESE PEOPLE DESERVE FIVE STARS. SO what if the portions are a little smaller than 8 years ago. It is still FANTASTIC AND ALWAYS ON MY MIND. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVEEEEEEEEEEE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Vegetarian options: You can substitute. I have eaten here before and have been pleased with my food, however today is different. The portions are much smaller. The white sauce is way too cold and has changed the temperture of of the food. I usually ask that my vegtables are cooked a little longer,however today i wasn't given that chance,as they were already on the tray. As much as i have enjoyed eating here in the pass, i wont be returning.

Amazing staff, went out of there way to help me and they always keep my sons belly full. We stop by a lot and pick up an order of just white rice for him and he LOVES it. He’s a very picky eater and loves their food! The staff is overwhelming nice and very helpful.Vegetarian options: We are a vegetarian family and love that they have white rice!Dietary restrictions: My son is a very picky eater and struggles with ARFID. His food choices are limited but this amazing staff cooks it great!Kid-friendliness: Always keep my sons belly full with white rice!

I was starving after a hard workout at the Planet Fitness at the Citadel Mall. Headed down to the food court to grab a bite. Decided to try Sarku Japan, never tried before. The line was short, and the service was fast. I had the Chicken Bento Box. The chicken and rice were awesome. Didn't care for the sushi rolls. Didn't taste fresh. I also had a couple of spring rolls. They were very tasty. Not a 5-star lunch but pretty good for fast food.

My favorite mall fast food! Never disappoints and is filling. Price is about where you'll pay anywhere else. Make sure to always ask for extra sauce on your food...it's the cherry on top! Thanks Sarku. (I thought they had closed for good). I'll be heading that way soon.

Let's be honest, this is mall food court food. The thing is, there were places like this up in Boston that I used to go to all the time when I was young. I've had similar spots down here, but nothing that matches exactly the same as Sarku... I think the one in South Shore Plaza was even called Sarku.It always looks kinda dingy and they're a little rude at the counter, but it's probably the only place in the food court with a line. Something about that chicken teriyaki keeps me coming back. Even though I know it's awful for me, I crave it from time to time and have to get my nostalgic fix.
Absolutely delicious! They also have a loyalty card so don't forget to ask for it and bring it when you come.

So I went in to get lunch like I do several times a week. And they have a sign that says 60 cents for extra yum yum sauce. That indicates that you get your first one for free. They waited till I got my food and told me I had to pay for the first one. I am not running my credit card for 67 cents. And they were just rude about it. I won't be eating there no more

They definitely have downgraded with the portion a bit. They don't give you half as much as they used to. I had to go back and pay for extra meat. I.wish I had taken a pic before it was added. The taste is pretty much the same as I remember it being. Overall its pretty good.
