I've never gone out of my way to write a review but had to. It's barely off the beaten path and unassuming, but you are quickly ver impressed. The food is AMAZING, unique and special. I will dream of the little gem salad and who dreams of salad. Every dish warmed simple when ordering but was so complex. The squash and the crab. Wow. Really wonderful meal. Wish we had room to order more. We will definitely be back.

Wow. The food was really good. The best potatoes, best fennel I've had. Service was a bit lacking. The waitress failed to communicate that the kitchen was closing (we figured that out later) and we felt incredibly rushed.

Our meal was delicious, particularly the squash and the ribs, and the wine recommendation was terrific. There were a lot of vegetarian options. In fact, I think almost half the menu seemed to be vegetarian. The small plates were great to share, and they purposefully spread them out so that we didn’t receive all the small plates at once. Highly recommend, and we will definitely return.

By far the best meal I had in Charleston. Words can't describe how good the food was. Homemade ricotta, out of this world. Blue crab, spot on. The cabbage, I had no idea cabbage can taste that good. But my favourite was the Beets dessert. Just get it, you won't regret it.

Charleston is a collection of chefs who copy and paste recipes from one place to the next. This place is NOT that. Sorghum & Salt gave me one of the best dining experiences of my life. This place is DIFFERENT. Veggie centric with intentionally crafted meat & fish dishes. The short rib was seriously one of the best things I have ever tasted, & dishes like the radishes… you’d have to taste it to know. The Chefs made the experience even better. Super nice, knowledgeable, welcoming. Great conversations. Highly recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back. Start with apps and always end with dessert.

There's no aspect of the dining experience left unnacounted for at Sorghum & Salt. Really knowledgeable/friendly staff, delicious food, beautiful presentation, and DELICIOUS food.
