The place is beautiful. Fun rooftop scene.However my husband and I were not even greeted when we went to the rooftop bar area. The bartender ignored us and was extremely rude. It Would’ve been nice besides that. I Would go to many other spots before this place. Bad experience.

Our food came out an hour and a half after we ordered :( server was nice but she kept having to apologize bc of all the delays. Or drinks took forever to come out, two of our side dishes also never came. Wont be coming back here :(

Worst experience of my life!!Extremely unfriendly and unprofessional.1. Sitting at the bar I had to wait 45 min just to get eye contact with the male bar tender. 2. A family next to me comments and say that the same bartender had forgotten to put their food order in!3. Finally I get to order after 45 min.4. After another 45 min I’m struggling to get somebody’s attention to ask where my food is.5. THE ANSWER: Sorry, we forgot to put your order in.6. I’ve now waisted my entire evening in Charleston and is offered NOTHING in compensation.7. Outside I speak to a younger couple who DID get their food COLD after 2 hours.8. The worst part is how rude the manager is about the whole situation, and calls SECURITY on me.I really hope the owners read this and fire her!

Great experience all around! We arrived a bit early for our reservation and Taylor recommended we visit the rooftop bar first - we are glad we did! The drinks were delicious and it was a beautiful spot. Once we came down for our meal, the service was excellent from start to finish. The food was delicious, too! Highly recommend the Pluff Mud dessert; it was the perfect treat to wrap up a wonderful meal.

Had the highest of hopes walking into our 7pm reservation. Unfortunately they were quickly dashed shortly after being seated! Our server was so incredibly unorganized and overwhelmed.Took him 10 minutes to greet us and missed every step a good waiter should hit! Didn’t ask us if we wanted anything to drink, appetizers or even told us his name., the food came out wrong which was not a surprise considering he didn’t write anything down. With that being said we needed to make a show and didn’t have time to reorder so we ate it anyway.Astonishingly enough we couldn’t be mad for long as the food was rather delicious, or it could have been we were starving after waiting an hour for our food.This place needs to make up its mind what it wants to be. A rooftop bar catering to debutantes and frat boys, or a world class restaurant. I am not sure it can sustain doing both in this uncertain socio economic environment and keep it’s up class clients happy.Maybe come in on a weekday when it isn’t so busy.Food amazing. Service horrible

The food was good but holy moly the service really quite bad. From our reservation time to the time we got water it was an hour. Then we ordered a bottle of wine and got our food before the wine. Although i’ve been to the rooftop before and will probably go back to the rooftop definitely will not be going for food again. I’m not sure if I waiter was too overwhelmed and had too many tables but either way quite a bad experience.

Best place in Downtown Charleston South Carolina to eat and have drinks
We had a reservation at 7:00. We ended up waiting on our table until after 7:30, then we sat down and waited another 15 minutes until our server came by. We ordered appetizers, but she forgot to put them in so they never came. We ordered our entrees around 8:00. Around 8:30 we asked how much longer on our appetizers, and she said “oh I didn't hear that you all wanted any” after we had a full on conversation with her about which appetizers were the best. At about 8:45 I think she could tell we were getting annoyed (don't forget, at this point we had been there since 7:00) so she said our meals would be out shortly and offered us a cornbread appetizer while we waited, but we said no thank you. Our food arrived a little before 9:00, and we still never saw our appetizers. We had really hoped something of our trip to Stars would have been good, but even the steaks were average. I would compare them to Outback steaks (pretty pricey for a below average meal!). The only reason we did not get up and leave is because we had a gift card. If it wasn't for the gift card we would have left and gone somewhere else. Safe to say, I will not be spending my time or money in Stars again.
Terrible! We were a table of 6. Two of meals were undercooked and had no flavor. The meals were sent back and were worse! Mussels were terrible and steak was Frits. Would not go back.

The food was excellent! I had sausage gravy and biscuits for brunch, and 10 out of 10! The service was very good, I was very happy when we left. A++

Such a disappointing experience, confirmed before arriving that the $48 buffet includes bloody mary's and mimosas. Arrived and the very small buffet includes a single mimosa OR bloody mary. $48 for limited food and one drink. I was SHOCKED. I had gone to the trouble of confirming, was told it includes a station of drinks. Photos on instagram show this station with carafes of juice and champagne. It's all a lie. Disappointed I brought my party of 7 and felt lied to and scammed. We ended up leaving, felt very bad for the very nice server. The place was completely deserted at noon on Sunday on king st, makes total sense.

DO NOT DINE HERE! The service was extremely slow and unattentive. The food was cool to cold and three of our five meals were served almost a half hour before the other two. The last two meals weren't even warm. Only the carbonara had any flavor. When the waitress asked how my chicken was and I told her it was cool, she never came back to the table. We had to go to the bar to ask for our check. She still never returned to the table so we had to take our check back to the bar so we could leave. I have to think there are better places in Charleston to drop a couple hundred dollars on a meal.

Ordered a steak cooked to medium-well. I was served a medium-rare steak. Returned the steak; it was brought back to me a second time cooked to medium-rare. I didn't want to try a third time.
