Went here for the first and presumably last time today, not for lack of desire though. I was blessed and lucky enough to bear witness to the creation of the last ever roast beef and cheese sandwich that this Substation II location will ever produce, and to say the least, I was undeserving. The roast beef was layered perfectly, the mayo and lettuce complimenting it to the exact level you would hope. The lovely people behind the counter made the experience one that I'll never forget. I will never forget this experience, and it saddens me to no end that I'll never get the chance to experience this again. Goodbye forever, Substation, and thank you for the, even if brief, beautiful memories.

I'm a fan of The Angry Grandpa Show on YouTube and when I found out about the closing, I had to make a day trip up to the OG Substation. I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Derrick and the gang. I felt at home, just the same as someone would feel that's frequented the restaurant for years. Thanks everyone for a great sandwich, great service, and great conversation and if yall ever open back up in a new location, I'll be up there to support yall!

Sadly, 2-for-Tuesday(BOGO) has ended due to supply and expenses. I still go and support this shop as they are a mom & pop operation, and the home of the first Substation II. The original #19 Special is a great first sandwich to try; my go to most of the time. Make sure you get it to dine-in, with oil&vinegar and oregano. Manga bella!!?

It has been years since I visited Charleston area. Always love the food and people here. I love that they will make any sub into a salad. If you want an interesting option they do an off menu option that I love. They make a bits and pieces sub or salad until they run out of the supply. It nosed the chopped ends of the fresh sliced meat to make the sandwich or salad. Either way the fresh meats and ingredients with still reasonable pricing make this stay on my go to list.

The people here at this place are so nice and welcoming from the time you walk through the door their subs and salads are amazing I have Never been disappointed when eating from there and what I Love the most is the salad the lettuce is always fresh and clean and I Love iceberg lettuce that what makes it so Great‼️‼️‼️My daughter and I love them especially they hospitality keep up the Great Work my husband use to eat there all the time he passed away but my daughter and I will always support you guys thanks ?? for you Great Service God Bless You All.
We have been here twice since discovering this place last month. The owner's are very very wonderful people and are pleasant to everyone who stops in. Showed up tonight at 5:40pm to grab a sub for my husband and I for dinner. My husband has been coming to this place for YEARS, when I say years I mean over 25 years !! As I got out of my car the woman inside is waiving her arms at me....I can't see what the older woman is saying because she has a mask on her face....anyways she pulls her mask down to mouth to me that they are closed. Well allright then I guess Sheila doesn't need my business any longer. Such terrible customer service as far as I am concerned!
