Your order is made fresh so expect to wait a little bit for it to cook. This is a cute hole in the wall place with tasty waffles! I was expecting more of a liege waffle with the crunchy pearl sugar and more of a rigid structure, but this was just a really good fluffy delicious Belgian yeast-dough waffle. Still good! The Belgian coffee was surprisingly bitter for being made with ice cream but I’m not mad at it. Service was great despite the wait for the waffles to cook I could tell the worker was absolutely hustling and bustling to get everything done well.

So far the most authentic Belgian waffles I've had in the US. The owner is very nice and the waffles are delicious. Walls maybe need to be repainted but is otherwise a nice atmosphere. Almost time I am downtown early in the morning I get a waffle and coffee.

A great place to stop and experience what a real Belgian Waffle should taste like! We start our day in Charleston with a stop here. Very close to the visitor center if you are on King St.

Loved it! Fast coffee, fast and delicious waffles that you can smell down the street! Definitely worth stopping by on your trip down King St.

This place is amazing! The waffles are made from a yeast dough not just a batter. You really need to try them, I can not describe how good they are. So much better than what comes to mind when you think waffle. Also, Sergio is a great guy. Please do yourself a favor and get by here. My picture does not do it Justice as I have already eaten half of it.

Can’t miss! Sweet Belgium was a last minute find, but was one of the best waffles I’ve ever had. I ordered the set of six glazed “mini” waffles in Vanilla Oreo, Raspberry (my favorite), and Dark Chocolate! I will definitely come back!Parking: Located just a short distance from a public parking garage!

We happened to stumble into this gem while walking on King Street. These are not anything like the waffles you get at a hotel or from a waffle iron at home - they are so much better! You can choose from a variety of different sizes and toppings. My wife and I split a large and it was the perfect amount for us. The owner was very informative and personable too.It honestly might be the best desserts we've ever had. You need to just try one!

‘Heaven’ - that’s what the guy said while leaving the store with the cross from the waffle. I annoy agree more! It was a very delicious crunchy and warm waffle. I met there the owner Sergio who is originally from Europe. Strongly recommend for tourists as well as locals ?

Don't miss out on this tiny treasure on King Street. Sweet treats and a sweet family from Belgium that runs the place. Delicious waffles (we went for breakfast), nice coffee selection, super accommodating. We happened to be there over winter break and their adorable kids were helping to make the waffles and serve guests. Simple place with counter seating and a few tables. Don't miss out on this delicious little stop in Charleston!

Made an effort to go back to this spot on King street for a late breakfast treat to have a sweet waffle. It was excellent with strawberries, whipped cream, walnuts, and a drizzle of chocolate sauce. It was handcrafted & took about 8 minutes. Well worth the wait. I could have eaten it with no toppings at all & enjoyed it thoroughly. Good coffee & a small area for sitting made for a great breakfast experience.

I had the only savory choice, which was bacon and maple syrup. The low rating is due to the fact the bacon had zero flavor. I don't know if it was because it was cut up into tiny diced pieces or if it was old (it was not hot at all, room temperature) or just cheap bacon? The waffle and maple syrup parts was nice. But nothing to swoon over Last night we had an awesome time at Forte Jazz and this morning we walked by this waffle place on our way to the farmers market where we bought some eggs and honey and corn.

Great little family-owned shop. All waffles are made to order, fresh, and delicious. The owner is hospitable and friendly. Don't miss it when you're in town!

A haiku: Waffle so yummy I would eat you every day Your taste is so sweet Delicious, authentic and did I mention delicious? Lots of toppings, and the owner was so nice. Told us about how he actually came from Belgium, so I know they were authentic. I'll definitely stop next time I'm visiting

If you haven't tried Sweet Belgium on King St your missing out. Although you have many choices for toppings,I chose strawberries and bananas w/ Nutella. The strawberries and bananas were very fresh and combined with the hot waffle it was a close your eyes and smile moment ....
