Good food, but menu does not explain well. Small plates, which is fine, but not described at such. Service could not be worse. Server (bartender) never checked on me after I was served. Not to order more food, not to see if my food arrived okay, I had to let her know I needed my check. I did not care to stay at that point. I'm sure she complained about her tip, she's lucky she got one, she did not deserve one.

Need reservations , this is an upscale restaurant and to enjoy the experience always nice to dress well but casual is fine here as well. The tables are well spaced out and the bar and tables are well spaced out They have a number of great waiters to help decision making as there are many interesting signature dishes The drinks and desert menu was good as well We had the steak verde and the cauliflower as the appetizer and the gnocchi, potato crusted grouper and peel Milanese as our main course Great service !

Very disappointed, expensive, slow service, early in the evening had no shrimp then rushed out after I had ordered and said they now had shrimp so I ordered the $40 plus dollar dish it had 2 unpeeled shrimp Save you time and money go someplace else 1 star

Fantastic dining experience. All of the food was flavorful and well planned. The Grocery works with local sellers to provide a truly fresh and unique experience. I had the gnocchi and it was unlike anything I've had before. The gnocchi were deliciusly creamy and melted in your mouth. Mixed with the mushroom stock and pickled vegetables (maybe) provided a delicious, savory bite. Definitely on the end of finer dining, but worth every penny.

Really enjoyed all the food + drinks we got. Their happy hour from 5-6 on Tuesday through Sunday is incredible. 50% off produce + pastas and $5 drinks. The pastas were my favorite. The space is large and good for a group. I went with 4 girlfriends we split 8 or so small plates + got cocktails and only wound up spending $35 each. I'm taking one star off for service as we didn't receive 2 of the dishes we ordered (and we were charged for 1 of them).

We had an incredible experience. The menu was not only beautifully curated, but the flavors were amazing. It's nice that they also cater to all food lifestyles. I'd come back here in a heartbeat. Service was great also!!

Wow wow wow! Run don't walk! First time there and it exceeded our expectations. I have to eat gluten free and they walked me thru the menu which was almost everything!!!! We started with the crudo which is completely out of our normal comfort zone. So glad we did it was outstanding. The flavors all unique and the pine nuts were an awesome added touch. I got the bistro steak. As you can see a perfect med rare. It was tender and delicious. My husband got the low country pilau. They have a single or a shared size. He is a big eater and wished he got the bigger one but after us deciding to have dessert we left completely full. Again being GF the only dessert I could have was the coconut sorbet and it was sweet and salty and delicious. He inhaled his pb chocolate dessert and said it was out of this world! The vibe is very industrial. I do suggest reservations as it filled up quick! Farm to table so a little pricier then some places but in my opinion worth every penny!

Maybe the most underrated restaurant in Charleston? Absolutely fantastic food and service, and a nice rustic but quiet vibe that would be good for a date night or night with family/friends. Good wine, beers on tap, and interesting cocktails. The Potato & Caviar and the Churros were must haves!!

Yummy yummy yummy! Everything our party had was very very good from the smoked fish, oysters, beets, snapper, grouper, salad, desserts, beer, mixed beverages, tea, bread, mushrooms and more. Fresh and refreshing. This is the calibre of food i wish i had experienced at all the restaurants i tried in charleston - a city of gastronomical delights. The service was very good too.rVegetarian options: We enjoyed several vegetarian option

7 years later and I'm less impressed. The food is good but not great and not great enough for the prices. The restaurant is beautiful, cozy and trendy. Aside from that, is struggle to understand their following. First, the wine menu is disappointing. They have very few choices and most only by the bottle. Second, the food menu does not have a variety of offerings and what they do have is overpriced. The seafood pilau was $38 with only 2 shrimp and 3 clams. The double portion was $69. I was disappointed that the dish was not very flavorful. Our waitress was attentive, but was not able to split our check by what we ordered. She said that their computer would not allow her to split the checks four ways based on what we ordered. Though I like the ambiance, I don't plan on returning.

The food was delicious and the staff was over the top. They made sure our dishes were veganized. They even split the pasta in two small dishes since we were sharing all of the items we ordered. The vegetarian pasta dish was out of this world delicious. So much flavor and veggies. Enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered we will be back!

Such creative dishes that really showcase the food AND its preparation! Everything is perfect for sharing, especially during their happy hour (which happens to be the best happy hour deal I've found in CHS). As someone who never skips dessert, this place also satisfies your sweet tooth- my favorite is the olive oil cake!
