Popped over here for a night cap. We were able to snag a table in the corner for 8 of us. This is inside the Charleston place and it had a cool old cigar lounge/casino vibe. Our server was nice and was accommodating to our large group. My drink was a strawberry milk punch, it was good and light, not super spirit forward. I definitely wanna come back and try more things.

Although we had planned on going to another place for our last dinner in Charleston, we decided to stay here instead after being so impressed with the atmosphere and the amazing service from the truly dedicated staff. The dark wood paneling and the horse related memorabilia were stunning and gives this place its club feel. Our server Kimberly was an absolute gem whose dedication to her customers was phenomenal. We're so happy that we decided to spend our last night here at this wonderful place. And the icing on the cake was the being treated to the lovely music played by a harpist.

This review is really for the Omakase tasting experience that was at the Thoroughbred Club and not for simply going for drinks.I can’t even begin to explain my utter disappointment with the Omakase experience my family of four attended. It was labeled as a 10-course tasting experience but it was not explained that each course was a mere bite. Seriously? 10 bites of sushi for $365/person. $2,000 for four people (with tax/tip) for essentially what equated to 1 ½ sushi rolls per person. Let's break that down even further...we're talking an all-in price of $50 per bite!! Oh, and two bites were on each plate so it was really 5-COURSES, each with two bites. The first three plates came so fast we had to tell them to slow down. We actually thought these were all just starters and didn't realize half of our "experience" was now over.We have been to MANY Omakase tastings and have never left hungry. Instead of leaving full, or even satisfied, we left angry and felt like somebody robbed us. I can’t imagine that was the experience they were going for. I also can’t imagine ever attending another event like that at the hotel or recommending it to family, friends, out of town visitors or clients. After reaching out to hotel management twice, absolutely no response from anyone.

Fantastic place. Aged ribeye steak was very high quality aged beef, and lobster roll had plenty of lobster in it. First class service from all involved. Nice job!

Fun spot to play tourist in your own town! We swung by after a dinner downtown for another glass of wine and settled in for excellent service and good people watching. Our waitress was stellar and kind as were the food runners and hostesses. It does get busier as the night goes on and was full in January so in high season may be tougher to get into. They deliver snacks to each table as you sit down (cheese straws, benne wafers and mixed nuts). We also ordered fries which weren't great for the price but that didn't take away from the overall experience. Our wine was excellent!

We were looking for a quick drink before our dinner reservation elsewhere and couldn't find a place with open space at the bar on a Friday night so we stopped by here thinking we could get a drink and hang out in the lobby. The drinks are overpriced and you get them in a plastic cup if you don't already have a seat.

My cousin and I came in here for cocktails twice during our trip to Charleston. It's located in the Charleston Place Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and service was great. The drink menu is decent and they have a great wine selection. They have a food menu but we just went for cocktails. Would come again.

Elevated bar at the Charleston Place with cocktails, mocktails and a Charleston take on bar food. Gumbo was fresh and tasty but not too spicy. Hot wings were crispy and flavorful but again not too spicy. Cranberry and Cucumber mock tails were very flavorful.

it doesn’t get much better than a little live piano music a top notch cocktail and some tasty bar snacks. Our server Genevieve was fantastic and had my drink made a little less sweet to my liking. This hotel is gorgeous at Christmas and everyone inside the bar was enjoying a fun holiday evening alongside us.If you can get a seat at the bar where you can chat with some of the friendly staff and fellow hotel guests
