One of the best dining experiences I have ever had! Menus was beautifully crafted and even prepared substitutions for my wife given her pregnancy. Amazing team that took care of us and got to know us personally in the 2-hour timeframe we were there. At the end, they surprised us with a hand-signed copy of our menu to help us commemorate such a great experience during our baby-moon.

I don't often take the time to write reviews but Wild Common left such an exceptional impression on my palette that it is worth sharing. We sat at the chef's table and were wowed course after course by the attention to detail, layers of complex and interesting flavors that seemed to evolve as we savored each bite. Watching the kitchen prepare and plate the food was like watching an artist carefully apply brushstrokes to a canvas. The chef and staff were passionate about both the food AND service.DO have a cocktail, I loved the frothy pair and our bartender, Addison was delightful and fun.DO the optional selections as we felt that added to the diversity of our courses and we loved the truffles.DON'T wait to make your reservations, only 3 dinner services ( I believe each evening) and we were limited in availability for our March visit to Charleston.Bottom Line: Some of the best food we have ever had, hands down.*Parking available in their separate lot, just a short, 1 min walk away.

Phenomenal spot! The tasting menu was to die for. We celebrated Valentine’s and were taken care of by Christina! She’s one of a kind. She’s a whole vibe. Ask for her. Tip her well. Enjoy your night! I’ll definitely visit again!

I was recently taken here for a surprise dinner and safe to say I had a great experience! Staffs were accommodating and knowledgeable of the dishes served. We specifically enjoyed the in-house cocktails and the Spanish Octopus dish. Highly recommend!

Far and beyond the best meal we had during our stay! If you love food and can swing the price this is THE place to go. The food was outstanding, the staff were amazing, the atmosphere is intimate. Highly, highly recommendDietary restrictions: We were asked multiple times about dietary restrictions and they were willing to work around any restrictions.

Excellent tasting menu ! This place was very, very well done. Every bite of every course was amazing. The service and presentation are almost, but not quite, up to the Michelin standards of the food. I look forward to my next visit.

Booked the restaurant weeks in advance. The day before the reservation, our party unexpectedly increased by one person. I called and spoke to the manager who said they could not accommodate us at any other time that night but would not charge us. WC then charged us $50 per person for a cancellation despite saying they wouldn't. They subsequently have not returned several calls to discuss. A former employee told me that WC has significant front of the house issues which is why they and many other employees have quit. Chez Nous, Southbound, and Husk are much better options.

If your party has the option, I would 100% recommend the chefs counter. It's awesome to watch the chef and staff plate up your meals. The staff is super friendly and the service is amazing. We chose to upgrade and add the eggs Benedict/caviar and it was top notch. I can not recommend this place enough. Perfect dining experience.

Visiting from Boston..I don’t usually leave reviews and was a tad concerned based on some of the prior reviews, but this place exceeded expectations. The following comments are geared towards some of the negative concerns previously mentioned. The tasting menu service was top notch and very well timed, not rushed at all. At $85, this is a totally reasonably priced tasting menu. Supplements are very standard in tasting menus, so I’m not sure what the gripe is with them being offered here as well. Of note, the wagyu offered is added to the final fish dish as a “surf and turf”course, not in lieu of the fish….adding even more value to the meal. The richer dishes had proper amounts of acidity incorporated to help cut through the sauces and such. Overall, this spot exceeded expectations and I would totally go back….having a tasting menu dinner with a cocktail at just over $100 pre tax and tip is beyond reasonable, something like this in a major city would easily be 2x the price for the same level of service and execution. Do not hesitate to give it a try!

My daughter and I spent the weekend in Charleston. After some research we reserved dinner at Wild Common. Wild Common only offers a tasting menu. The options presented to us was to choose between the fish entree or wagyu special entree. We could then add wine pairings experience or just order from the wine list. Once we told our waiter our selections (1 fish, 1 wagyu and wine pairings) the experience began. Each tasting was delivered descriptively and with so much appreciation for the creative process and then the sommelier came by to educate us on the wine and his love for wine. While we were half prepared for a pretentious experience (I mean look at what I'm describing) ... we found ourselves in a charming comfortable and genuine food lovers' adventure. The environment was simple, the staff fun and humble, and the food and wine were the stars. I highly, highly recommend.

Exceptional food. I really couldn't believe it. One of us got the upgraded wagyu beef and the other the wine pairing. Yes, it was expensive, but the portions were relatively generous (we were nearly full by the time the entrees were served). The wagyu upgrade came with two thick filet slices that we shared. The wines were so good and appropriately complimentary to the food. We also had a couple of the cocktails -- also great. The atmosphere is nice but maybe just a little bit too much, and while the servers were all good and knowledgeable, it did take a while. Be prepared for a couple hours, which is frankly normal for a tasting menu. But these are just small items. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Wild Common is "that place" that guests will brag about, instagram about, and tell you that you HAVE to go and "experience" it for yourself. Yes, WC is similar to the movie, The Menu, or even Richie's dream job/restaurant in The Bear. Yes, WC is pricey as hell with small portions; we spent $1150 with 4 people. We knew what we were getting into after reading other frustrated Yelpers complaints and researching the tasting menu ahead of time. Before you book, understand that you need to savor each course AND the entire dining experience so you can enjoy WC taking care of you. While we're not huge seafood people, we enjoyed WC's selections and wine pairings. The first three courses come together; we really enjoyed the gazpacho. Our favorite was the dumpling. Yum. Yes, the buttery Maine lobster stole the show and had the perfect (cooked) texture as you can see in the pic. Our friends said that the Wagyu beef substitution was savory, textured, and worth the addition. The chocolate torte was the perfect meal capstone and complemented everything else very well. Where WC excels is that they lack the pretentious vibe other tasting restaurants have. The host was polite and eager to make us happy, Kenny was an attentive and charming server, and the expos were eager to school us on each course. Yes, we actually DO like to learn and eat at the same time. Looking around, some patrons wore t-shirts while others were wearing upscale dining clothes. There was a great dining room energy and you could tell that everyone was curious about the food, into the experience, and excited to be there. While WC isn't a weekly stop, it's a unique option when celebrating a special occasion (in our case a friend's reunion), anniversary, or milestone.

Went with a group of 5 and this place was mostly a hit. The food was delicious. The wine pairing left us wanting. While the last two pairings (with the lobster and the chocolate torte) were perfect, the ones before did not complement their courses well, which was slightly disappointing. I also found it difficult to hear the sommelier from the other side of the table, though the overall ambient sound level of the restaurant was pretty good.I would recommend Wild Common for food, but the wine experience could use improvement. Everyone in our party did like the cocktails though.
