I ate there for dinner (early dinner) last week with my daughters who go to university of SC. Most of the food was not good. . I am sorry to say. I am a Greek American who has grown up with Greek food from my mom who immigrated here. The dips were yuk. The appetizers were hard and cold. Just really disappointing. Not a good representation of the Greek culture. I am sure non Greeks don’t know the difference. Also holy moly expensive !! Like , how horrible to charge 17 dollars for appetizers worth 11Dollars. The place Was pretty but outdated.Waitress was sweet but she was new.I hope the owner revamps the place and changes the food for the better. It’s a Great location , so do it Justice.

Not pleased with the shrimp and scallops. Far too high priced for me to have to search for little bits of scallops. And gratuity added to a party of three because original reservation was for five and two didn't show. Waitress was great otherwise!

Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. I’ve been for brunch, lunch, and dinner and I can say all 3 easily knock it out of the park. There’s nothing on the menu that you can go wrong with. The interior (and even exterior) of the building is absolutely stunning. At night (depending on when they have it open), their huge upstairs area has a beautiful bar, a dance floor, pool tables, darts, shuffle board, and you can even have a drink on their balcony that overlooks Main Street! It truly is the perfect spot to have a date-night or a nice night out with friends because everything is all in one building! I highly recommend. Definitely one of Columbia’s hidden gems.Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp up to the door allows for easy wheelchair access.

Boy oh boy, where to begin. From the moment we entered the establishment we were entranced by the opulent aesthetic. Everything from the napkin holders to the serve yourself water bottle, were exceptional. The service was among the best we have experienced and the elegant architecture and interior design was exquisite. My steak and eggs was perfection. The potatoes had a uniquely sweet but not overpowering flavor. The steak was phenomenal, hats off to the chef. The eggs, while the weak link of the trio, were still beyond delightful. While I am unable to speak specifically for the rest of my party, it is safe to say everyone enjoyed their meals. My only complaint is that it’s not all you can eat, because I could eat this food all day! Bravo.

Took over a hour for food and drinks. Food was unseasoned and bland. The lamb shank was the worse. Called the manager and she was rude af and did not apologize or try to accommodate us for the inconvenience. Ordered the olive oil cake and got a piece of pound cake with olive oil drizzled on top and an old strawberry. The worst $200 I spent at a restaurant. The server was nice and pleasant. The bread was the best part of meal which is very sad.

Gigi is amazing. She was our server she was patient and explained the dishes we had questions on. The food was really good. I would only suggest offering the tzatziki sauce with meal. The atmosphere is magical. Thanks for the Greek experience.

This was our first time having lunch at Ambrosia but it won’t be the last. In fact can’t wait to come for dinner. The restaurant is beautiful with incredible ambience. The food was authentic and delicious. My wife is a vegetarian and was excited to be able to order Moussaka without meat! The seasoning was delicious and left you wanting more! Good selection of wines as well.

Food was decent at best. No extraordinary or lasting flavors. Eggplant casserole had ‘peppery’ taste to it. I didn’t taste any potatoes as described on the menu. The grilled pork chop was cooked as ordered but seemed to dry out quickly. Server was attentive. Atmosphere clean and comfortable. The server seemed to know the menu & was sure to “mention” that substitute items were not allowed. In other words, what the menu described as being included in the meal, was what you were going to get. Not sure we will return to this restaurant any time soon. Overall meal price was $70+ for 2 with H2O, Wow!! 1st time visitors.

Just poor service and attention to detail. I ordered a vegetarian eggplant dish and they served me pretty much a shepherds pie. I showed the dish to server and she dare to argue or convince me it was eggplant. Then, I ask if it comes with bread and she said it is $2.00 for bread, so I said okay. What did I got? A half of slide of stinking white bread. Simply pathetic! No wonder everyone was ordering burgers in a so called fine Greek restaurant. Very disappointing!

It was our first time and we enjoyed everything! We had the phyllo sampler, lamb lollipops, moussaka, and chocolate tort. My moussaka was to die for! Gigi (sorry if I'm misspelling it) was our server and she was super helpful and knowledgeable. The bartender also came to our table a few times to check on us and she was great as well.

Great little chic place. We were acknowledged and were say quickly. We had GiGi as our waitress. She was very kind and was there to please. The food was all as tasty as we imagined it would be. We started with the bread and the beet appetizer, so good. He got the chicken with orzo and I ordered the moussaka. He was pleaseed with his and mine was off the chain. It was seasoned just right. To round it out we had to get the creamed spinach. Brought back child hood memories. Closing it out we had the olove oil pound cake. A denser pound cake with a lemon infused oil soaked in. Can we all say mmmmm. Good quality food, service makes for a great meal. The prices were what would be expected. Great job. We will be back.Vegetarian options: Moussaka was all vegetarian a surprisingly delicious change from the ordinary pasta and meat moussaka. Way to go, it was great.
