There are a lot of coffee options in Columbia but Azalea is my favorite. The baristas are knowledgeable and warm. You can’t feel out of place here. Become a regular and they’ll remember your name, your order, and your dog’s name. The environment is cozy and cared for. Importantly, their drinks are consistently good. You can tell these folks are trained and really care about their craft!!! The drinks are never too watery, burnt tasting or weak. After going to another popular coffee establishment in Columbia that told me their go-to for an iced latte is COLD BREW instead of espresso… I never want to venture out anymore. I love you, Azalea. ?

This place is great! I had a delicious hot chocolate for only $3, and felt very comfortable sitting at a table doing some work on my laptop. The cafe is a bright and welcoming space (not to mention pet friendly!) and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Honestly, I'm very impressed with Azalea. Service was extremely nice. The pour over selection was limited but they have plenty of stylized options. This combined with the overall aesthetic I believe really appeals to their targeted demographic. In other words, they've definitely captured the theme they're going for.Only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the difficulty of logging into the guest Wi-Fi. The main reason I frequent cafes is to get some work done in a nice setting. This also seems to be a known problem as they have a sticky note right next to their Wi-Fi explaining problem. If at any point they fix their Wi-Fi problem, I will update this review to be five stars because I did like the vibe azalea offered.

I highly recommend a visit to Azalea Coffee Bar. During my recent visit, I ordered the First Lady a lavender-flavored latte and a peanut butter and chocolate muffin. As a coffee shop enthusiast who recently moved to Columbia, my wife suggested this local spot.I arrived at mid-morning during the week and had no trouble finding parking. However, as I spent more time there, more customers began to arrive. The environment was perfect for working, with a comfortable sound level that allowed me to hear conversations happening around me while still being able to focus on my work.Azalea Coffee Bar offers a variety of seating options, including small tables for up to three people, standing tables with chairs, a couch area, and a small bar area.Overall, the space is great and the coffee and snack collection is incredible. I'll definitely be visiting again.

Super disappointed. Walked an hour to what seemed like the best coffee shop in Columbia, SC. Only to receive a drink with very poor milk quality. I don't need latte art, I need properly steamed milk by a competent barista. I'm not sure why anyone would look at this and think this is acceptable. Micro foam for days.... It has to be terrible training because I could hear the barista obliterating the milk and the sound alone should warrant serious concern that they didn't know it wasn't good and should have dumped the milk and remade it. NOT A THIRD WAVE OR SPECIALTY COFFEE SHOP.

Me and a few friends went here not too long ago and it was wonderful. Staff were all very nice/customer service was great, the atmosphere was lovely and the menu had many great choices. Only issue I came across was a few molded blueberries in my parfait, which I picked out and decided not to bring up as to not disturb the kind staff there seeing as I resolved the issue myself, however besides that everything was amazing. Loved the hot chocolate as well.11/10, most likely will go again and highly recommend if you want a peaceful break from the outside world.

Super tiny cute coffee shop, inside was bright and had pretty art lining the walls, staff was friendly and knowledgeable, coffee was delicious. The baked goods were also delicious, our favorite was the banana muffin!

Enjoyed an hour or so sitting here while sipping on good coffee and reading. I tried their Queen Bee with oat milk - fantastic - and their lemon blueberry scone - also delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Many of the women walking through the door seem to know the barista and they check in on each other. How sweet! Great music, a Dolly Parton quote on the wall. To sum up, all the wonderful vibes of Barbieland confined in a local coffee shop.
