Sunday Sunshine and BBQ today in Cola..I have had City Limits on my list to visit and today we had the pleasure of having an amazing lunch there. Don't let the line discourage you, it's more than worth the wait. Robbie did not disappoint with everything we had. We arrived about 45 minutes after they opened, and unfortunately the large group in front of us cleared out the chopped bbq and spare ribs...but the sweet guys managing the front gave us the last two ribs and a few slices of pork belly to try. We got the brisket dog, made in house of course,Sally's style with jalapeño coleslaw and brisket chili. We also got shells and cheese, Frito Pie, Brunswick stew, and a Pork Belly Banh Mi. I think I will probably dream about that pork belly. It was cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth tender. The honey cornbread literally tasted like dessert. I can't say enough great things about them and we can't wait to come back on Saturday to try all of the different bbq. They are only open Saturday and Sunday so come early before they run out!

Great food and amazing service. Was a big line at the door. We decided to come back late just 30 minutes before they close. This gave us an opportunity to seat and enjoy the BBQ.Great experience. We definitely will be back.

Delicious food, helpful and kind service. Several options of meats, sides, and sauces. I am celiac and dairy free and had no issues with the meats (sausage is not dairy free) or sauces—just ask they were helpful to answer me what I could and shouldn’t get. (They label the sauces as “vegan/vegetarian” and “gluten free” on the menu which is helpful.) There are limited hours and long lines so don’t expect to be sitting right away, but the assembly line does go quick, they work hard and it shows! 5/5 stars from me and my husband!Vegetarian options: Sides and saucesDietary restrictions: Gluten free options, dairy free options

Is this the holy grail of BBQ? YES! As first timers we were in unknown territory. When we arrived about 15 minutes after the Saturday 11:00am opening, the line to enter the modest, rustic two story building was about 20 people deep. And the line moved S-l-O-W-l-Y. Once inside the door things get better--grab a side (I got slaw and potato salad), beer or free water from the coolers and on to the meat slicer (where you order meat). We are ready to order--about 50 minutes after we arrived! Do not be discouraged! They have Sunday hours too! And Texas style beef ribs! These colossal ribs boast a nine or ten inch bone and copious amounts of tender, slow cooked heavenly meat. Think Mississippi pot roast but 2x the flavor. This is BBQ on another level. Don't get me wrong I like pork ribs, but these are a special treat. My wife had the chopped brisket and said it was the best she ever had ! All our sides were great, including the jalapeño coleslaw, potato salad, hash, and chili. In sum, the BBQ experience at City Limits is epic. Arrive early, and have patience. It is also worth noting that if you get beef ribs they are advertised as costing $40 per lb; however, because of their size and how they are portioned expect to pay for much more. We planned on buying a pound, but our ribs topped out at almost 4 pounds. Plenty of delicious meat for two.

The beef ribs and brisket along with the pimento cheese is amazing. I really liked the potato salad and the collards were ok. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You always pay for great food, but most people will need to budget for trips here.

The only thing that could make this place any better would be daily service. Absolute winner in terms of service, food and atmosphere!

Phenomenal BBQ and sides. Having lived in Texas for 4 years, I can assuredly say City Limits is the best I've had in the state. If you're considering going but you think it's too far away, get in your car and start driving. If you get there and you think the line is too long, stand in it and wait. It's absolutely worth it.

The greatest Texas BBQ you will find in South Carolina, Robbie’s brisket will blow your socks off ! Everything here from the hot gut sausage to the brisket chili is bursting with flavor. Highly recommended coming here early unless you enjoy long lines. The Rick

Good lord. I'm still working on the feast, but I'm almost finished. I liked everything I had better than home team. The red sauce is perfect for the brisket. The move is take a bite of a pickle, a little pickled onion, then a bite of brisket dipped in the sauce. Sausage is perfect! Great snap, too.The white sauce with the chicken... So good. Pork is excellent, as is the mustard sauce. All the sides were killer. Loved the coleslaw. Just enough heat, which is great because finding balance in making that type of coleslaw is very difficult. Hash and rice was slammin'. Those cowboy beans are like a secret weapon. Potato salad was really good too, and I liked the use of shells with the mac and cheese.I think it's the best cornbread I've ever had. I'm not usually the biggest fan, either, but that stuff is delicious! The ribs were outstanding, too, and I mean that. So good. Cooked perfectly. I could have eaten my weight in them. There's my full report. An absolute Home Run!!!

Food truck turned brick & mortar, this place is killing it with BBQ. Brisket is delicious and ribs are on point. The jalapeño slaw is the bomb...sweet, creamy, ...with just enough bite. Mac and cheese is really good as well. You stand in line for food and when they ate out...they're out. There are menus posted in two areas outside so that you can review the offerings for the day. They do all beef hot dogs in all styles only on Sundays and man, they are some delicious dogs. Looking forward to their expansion in the future. Great for take out as well! It's great to sit outside on their deck in spring and summer. I am not a big fam of BBQ in general, but their menu and flavors have me hooked...especially the hotdogs. Sick... right?

We drove down from Woodruff, SC to see if the rumors were true. Other worldly! We had a beef rib, some brisket, cornbread, collards and carrot cake. Everything was spectacular. We will be back!

This is practically in my backyard and I’ve never been here. It’s a limited menu that I think changes frequently. I was hoping to try the brisket, but I went on a Sunday and that’s only offered on Saturday. I did try the Texas tater that was delicious! The smoked wings were really good, the french fries were very good and my boyfriend tried the pulled pork barbecue, which was really good! There’s not much room to sit on the inside however, they do have a nice covered patio outside. I’m not a huge fan of brewery style beers, and other than that they have bottled water and old-fashioned bottled Coke. So I got my water out of the car. I’d definitely go back. This time on a Saturday.
