Cute spot, had a 5 pm reservation, ordered drinks and our meal by 5.10, drinks came quickly, appetizers by 5.45. Dinner didn't show up till 6.45. Escargot were ok, but bland. Mussels weren't warm when they came and also bland. Trout was good but the server said it was going to be a whole trout and it was only a small fillet. Also very bland. The steak frites was pretty good, well cooked but super bland also, carrots with no seasoning. I think they took all the seasoning from everything we ordered and just put it in the French onion soup which was crazy salty. Drinks were good and it was a lovely spot.

Lovely dining experience. Knowledgeable and courteous staff. Mixed drinks were delicious. Tried new varieties of wine, and they were splendid. French onion soup had a beautiful depth of flavor. Steak was well prepared and tender. Muscle dish was splendid. Only hiccup was the creme brulee, having the texture of flan instead of a smooth yogurt experience. Would return for another meal in a heartbeat.

Honest review: Crab Cake hearty and good flavor. Mussels I don’t believe they tried with this one essentially flavorless broth with soggy fries. The French Onion Soup the same, watered down broth little flavor except for salt and burnt beef. The crawfish deviled eggs were so so if you like deviled eggs. The pork chop entree overcooked and dry. The short rib was much better, tender (as it should be) but not the best I’ve had.Biggest negatives were the wine pours. My glass along with the other diners was below the level of a standard pour. I heard another diner tell her companion the same. As someone with experience in the industry it was upsetting to receive a glass 1/4 of the way full. Our waiter did not smile or have a welcoming attitude. I usually don’t mind if service is subpar because I dine for the food. In this case worth mentioning. From my observation not all waiters at this restaurant were the same.

I love love love this place! One of my favorite restaurants in columbia. The owner has one of the highest levels of Somalia certifications in the country, so the wines and pairings are the best you’ll find in columbia… if not the state. I keep forgetting about it as a brunch option and finally tried it today. All of our dishes were fantastic. Loved the fried Brie but will be sure to ask for bread with it next time! The eggs Benedict were table favorites. The service is always top tier, and the food is consistently delicious. I hear they are open to feedback so if you can’t give them 5 stars, call them. Let’s support great local restaurants by bringing attention to the good ones.

Let me first say that Levi, our server, was fantastic! The food was delicious, very up scale but filling portions and perfect seasoning. My father had the croquette monsieur with a sunny side up egg and I had the salmon with broccoli rabe and hollandaise. Not a crumb was left and the bottle of wine was empty. The wine selection is top of the line and the food was perfect. Only downside was the noise level, a large party came in and was having a wonderful time but with the loud noise it was hard for us to have a conversation at a normal level. Highly recommend for a fabulous meal with a perfect pairing.Parking: Very busy area but with patience you will find free street parking.

A hidden gem in Columbia SC. A very cool sidewalk Cafe look outside, with an upscale restaurant inside. Our business lunch was in the wine room so that conversation was uninterrupted. The staff served up great food and service shortly after ordering. Excellent spot for a date night, business, or a special night out.

Restaurant week for us was a failure to say the least. The staff did a good job but the food was so subpar we couldn’t give more than a 1 star review. There were four of us and we started with the escargot, it was bland and had no flavor. Everyone at the table got French onion soup, they were all room temperature to cold. The flavor wasn’t bad, but who wants cold soup that’s supposed to be hot?. Next we got our entrees. Two medium rare ribeyes, one medium rare steak frites, and one ratatouille. One ribeye came out medium and the other came out less than rare. Both had a sear on one side, the side displayed, the opposite side wasn’t seared at all. No way it was seasoned either. Steak was ok at best with all things considered. Steak frites came out rare and flavorless. The ratatouille looked more like a soup and our friend ate two bites and took the rest home to her child. Dessert, chocolate mouse, crème brûlée and lemon tart. Chocolate mouse was good, crème brûlée was subpar, and the lemon tart was liquid and didn’t hold itself together. We also ordered several drinks which was the highlight of our meal. Reading this you might think it couldn’t have been that bad. It was, it was terrible. This is our second time coming here, first time was years ago. I am hoping this was an off day or something, for a business that has been around for 30 plus years and still in business must have been doing something right. We won’t be back though, too many other great options in Columbia.
