I heard that they were short staffed, but nonetheless the host told Everyone including us when we entered that the wait would be 20 minutes. Instead it was about an hour. And once we were sat we waited probably ten minutes for the waiter to ask about drinks. And then it took another half an hour to get our appetizers. You can imagine it took a while still to get our main dishes after that. The food itself, costing a bit more than preferred, was below lack luster. We got chicken tenders ($18) that didnt jave any flavor or seasoning, and a rather small sliver of salmon (for its $24). The fries werent too bad. And even the soda was lack luster, the coke seemed watered down, the machine was probably running out of syrup.So beware that you can expect a long wait before you eat and not very satisfying food.

The classic Reuben was tasty but not as good as the one in Hickory, NC. Sweet potato fries were listed on the menu, but they don't offer them. Brussel sprouts were delicious!

Had a fantastic girls' night out at Hickory Tavern, enjoying the patio ambiance. The food was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious, complemented by good service that made our evening even more enjoyable. It's a great spot for a relaxing night out with friends.
The service was amazing each time I have been there but the wings just are not it…. This place is probably known for other food dishes just not wings … they were fried too hard .

Stopped in for a dinner at the bar tonight. Had a taste for shrimp and grits, but they were out. So, I settled for the spinach dip, and fries for my appetizer. Along, with their salmon, and broccoli.The spinach dip was very tasteful and cheesy, which I loved. The salmon, and broccoli was a game changer! I've never tasted a salmon like this. It was well seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The broccoli was delicious, I was wanting some sauce but, after taking my first bite, I didn't need any.Service at the bar was great! Great atmosphere for family to dine in to eat.

Great place that needs to pay attention to detail. Last week I ordered fish and chips. They came to the table warm and tasty; however, there was no tartar sauce (as stated on the menu) and the fried fish pieces were lying on a bed of wilted (almost rotting lettuce). Bad. Please do better. You owe it to your customers. Thank you.

Our first time here moving to NC. Our orders were messed up and my friends salad had rotten goat cheese on it. It took us forever to get silverware after getting food. Restaurant was NOT busy. Bathrooms were filthy. My friend sent her salad back to have new one made without rotten cheese. It took forever to get salad and we were all finished eating by the time her salad arrived. I spoke to manager on duty and all I got was deer in the headlights stare. We figured they at least compher salad. They did nothing but take out money. VERY disappointed in the operation ..
