Ordered food was served quickly meat and potatoes were ice cold. Told server and manager didn't seem to care much just a half sorry. I asked the manager to check the temperature he said he did.....said was warm asked what temp was told he didn't have a thermometer lol. Not safe if not monitoring temp of cold and hot food. Had to go home and microwave my lunch I purchased. Wife's meat and side was cold and cooked apples side was hot but brought out when we were leaving. Bad location won't come back to this one. Can heat up food in microwave without paying to go out.

I worked here for many years and although I am not a fan of Mr. Robert Williams as he is mean to most of the staff, I am a fan of all the other Williams!! I do like the customers and I very much like the food! I must still give credit to the cleanliness of the restaurants and the quality of the food. The food is absolutely delicious! So I will not take away from that. My favorites are Flounder, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, collards, beef stew…. Oh! The salads are amazing with the fried chicken and egg! Omlets are good, don’t really like the bread anymore, that is probably because I ate it from the age of 16-30 haha. Nice friendly atmosphere from the customer perspective and good service! If you ever run into Mr. Matt Williams; He is one of the kindest people I ever met! John Williams too! They are wonderful people.I would suggest if you are looking for great service and food do go here… if you have the pleasure of being waited on by Gloria, Marilyn, April, or Genie…. You will truly get great service, and the food is always yummy!Cheers to Southern Food and a nice atmosphere to dine in, if you must get it to go, most locations have a drive through. Best Manager overall, “Dalton”.!Thanks for reading my review, and hope you decide to eat here, so that you know true Southern Food and Hospitality!Parking: Parking is A okay!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly environment, not sure if they still provide the crayons and paper but I do believe so!Wheelchair accessibility: There is an easy way near the front door to have wheelchair access at each location.

The liver pudding was burnt. The country ham was hard, and I was told the honey was an extra charge.

Need more salt and seasonings but it was good. My favorite was the squash casserole and chef salad.

I at first thought it wasn't going to be too good, just cause of the area and appearance on the outside of the building. It turned out to be the best food I've had from a lizards thicket in a while. I always order a chicken fried steak when ordering from here, as I've just grown accustomed to eating it, as it was a dish that's priced low. It wasn't too chewy, rubbery, crunchy, or fatty it was just right. They even tweaked the gravy a bit more than what it normally was, more pepper. It was so good I had to order another one, calling it desert. Our waitress was also just overall perfect.

Tammy was an amazing waitress. The food was good, but I didn't care for the touch of sweetness in the collards. The country steak and the cornbread were good.

A nice place to stop for an early morning breakfast. A good hearty breakfast was just what I needed this morning and Tammy, the server, did a great job.

I was YELLED at across the restaurant by Amber at the Broad River Rd location. It was embarrassing! They had just opened a section so we went to sit in it. She yelled at me that the section was closed. It was not. It had been reopened because the small section that was open at 12:15 on a Saturday was full. Then it took forever for anyone to come to our table. When I finally caught someone’s eye and they came to get our drink order, I asked to speak to the manager. This woman said ok, but failed to tell me that she WAS the manager on duty. Seriously?? We ended up leaving and will never step foot back in this location despite the fact that Lizard’s Thicket is one of our absolute favorite restaurant chains.

The breakfast is generally good but the grits are watery, gritty, and not done. Very disappointing. There are others also complaining about your grits. Please give this your attention. Thank you.
