Thursday May 2nd, 2024 I called the Longhorn Establishment @ 902-A Gervais street, Columbia, SC 29201. I called to make a reservation for the following day for 15 people, because the website said to call for parties larger than 5. I proceeded to call and I assume the hostess answered, but a female informed me they only do call a head seating. I informed her of the party size since we will be coming from a college graduation. The hostess insured me that will be fine for call ahead seating. Now, on Friday May 3rd 4:15pm, I called the same longhorn establishment to do call ahead seating. Another hostess answered and said there is no wait and call a head seating is not necessary. I proceeded to tell her my party size, she mentioned she need to go tell the manager (Mr. Marshal), she came back quick and said they cannot accommodate my party size. I informed her we are in route already because I spoke to someone the day prior, is there a reason they can’t. She informed me her manager (Mr. Marshal) said they couldn’t, after the hostess had informed me they were not busy and we didn’t need to call ahead. I asked to speak to the manger. 20 minutes passed before I could get Mr. marshal on the phone. I hung up and called back multiple times with being put on hold. After sometime, Mr. Marshall finally came to the phone and said a couple days ago they put a new policy into affect…the policy being parties no larger than 12 can be seated. He said he can sit 12 at one table, and then 3 at another table “ACROSS THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RESTAURANT”. Also, there are two other long horns in the area that could possibly accommodate me. I proceeded to ask why the party of three couldn’t sit near the party of 12. I was told he is not a fortune teller and could not see the future. I said that’s what call ahead seating is.. there is an hour notice you can make accommodations. He did not care to be helpful but loved to be snarky. I politely asked for his name and said thank you and hung up. Be aware of new policy and the only person who is aware of the policy is the manger Mr. Marshal.

I won’t recommend this place. I went there on my birthday. Two out of three salads had bugs in them. One is alive one is dead. I didn’t have this problem with other Longhorn locations.

My husband and I have not been to Longhorn in quite a while and decided to go Saturday. First of all, the poor hostess seemed like she was super busy being the only one to take down names and seat people. She actually was working quite hard and doing the best she could. However, beyond that and the fact that our waiter was very nice, although not as attentive as I would have liked, there wasn't much else good about the experience. The food was so so... Nothing to write home about. My husband and I each had 2 sides with our meals, but only one came out with the entree. I was practically finished with my meal by the time I got my brussel sprouts. I waited forever for the waiter to come back after taking our order just so I could ask for a glass of water. I think one of my biggest disappointments was the fact that two of the tables next to hours were set up as a workstation for the servers to wrap silverware bundles, and also it seems as their break table. There was food and a monster drink set out on the table (as seen in the pic) and one of the waitresses kept coming over to eat a little and then hustle back to take care of her customers. I realize everyone needs to eat, but two things bother me about this - 1) as a customer, I really don't want to be seated where I feel like I'm in a break room, 2) I don't like the idea that a waitress gobbles some food and then go straight back to her customers without washing her hands in between. Didn't they get dinner/lunch breaks? Not 100% sure I will be back to this location.

Went here on Sat night 4-27-24 at 9:20 pm ordered a cowboy ribeye and filet mignon. After about 30 minutes we received cowboy ribeye and another ribeye but not filet mignon. Sent that back and after another 30 minutes we received a piece of sirloin steak less than a half inch thick that the manager claimed was overdone filet mignon and then admitted it wasn't. By 11:00 we received an actual filet mignon. No compensation for all the problems. When we received our check there were 2 filets on there, pointed out to server who took care of it. Just an all around horrible experience. Won't be back. Server was working very hard, said it was her 3rd day and she had no assistance from any other staff member.

Worst Longhorn ever. Slow service, non caring, they forget items, they don't cook other items, no bread, long wait, very unpleasant experience. They clearly don't care and neither does management. Will never go here again.

I got the most simplest thing on menu chicken tenders and fries a they brought a black person grilled chicken tenders and service is trash and I’ve been writing this review and waiting on my fried chicken tenders and still haven’t got them ????

4.1 stars is 4 stars too many. I travel quite a bit for work, and eat at Longhorn in almost every city I’m in. Not only is the worst Longhorn experience I’ve ever had - it’s maybe the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Kicking myself for not just walking out.It took 25 mins to even see a waiter. No bread, drink, salad for another 15 mins after, steak was brought out completely raw an hour after sitting down. (The place was almost empty) Brought back out the original steak with all of my sides missing, and it was gooey and disgusting. (Eventually my cold sweet potato) Literally everyone in my section sent back their food, so I should have seen this coming. Finally was able to pay for my food 90 mins after first siting down.Not only were they not short staffed, they had 3-4 employees sitting and texting by the hostess stand. These guys are just plain bad. There are a few decent restaurants within walking distance avoid this one at all costs.

When we got there tonight the trash was over flowing behind the hostess desk. Then she took us to our table the floors was nasty. A spot where someone waste a salad was still there. Tables were nasty. The whole restaurant was just disgusting. We got up and left no way we could sit and eat there in that environment. Very disappointed
