Always busy, good pricing, but the food was just OK. There are too many other options in Columbia that I would go to first. Not that this was bad, just not as good as expected. For instance, we ordered nachos that came in less that 5 minutes, but they were cold, the cheese was not even melted. Taste good, just not as expected. The brisket burnt ends were dry and half were hard.Dietary restrictions: Some gotten free options, but not much and I believe there was some cross contamination that made my wife sick.

04/16/24 Update: We patroned them again as a group of 5. The wait was unimaginable. I wrote to them on a different platform and was told they accept people first come first serve. Why is it them that we waited over 30-40 minutes to get seated on the patio when there were tons of tables on the patio, two of which could've been put together to accommodate us. We were told it was NOT possible, even though TWO families were using TWO tables, and two women were seating at TWO tables as well (bad seating arrangement by the Host). Anyway, this left us with a very bad taste, although I've been going here for a few years. I guess it's time to find a new BBQ place in the area. *Thoroughly disappointed!!!*It is as good as they say. I wasn't too crazy about the sausage. Being from Eastern Europe, I don't think anyone makes better sausages than us. But the rest was amazing. Everything. Even the chocolate beer, which I've had before, but this was the best. Just a hint of chocolate and the rest was all hops. This place is definitely a repeat. Can't wait to drive down to Florida again and to try other things off the menu. Pretty busy too. I guess that's why they don't accept reservations on a Sunday night. Lots of screens to watch different sports and continuously packed. But we got seated pretty fast. No complaints.

Ok so me and my family and friends were at this restaurant, when we first got there we wanted to sit outside, there were a bunch of tables, the problem is that there was a table for 6 people and 2 women were sitting there when there was a bunch of empty tables for 2/4 people to sit at. We asked the staff to move them to the other table so me and my family (5 people) could sit there. They refused and we had to wait 30 minutes to get a table. But otherwise the food was great. And no there were no tables inside.

Midwood Smokehouse loses major points for service and atmosphere. We dine at restaurants often in large groups and we know when it’s done well and when they fail miserably. While dining here with a group of 19, the manager and his crew came out and berated us for moving tables, for sitting in the wrong spot, for “messing up their entire checkout system” and definitely not in a kind or respectful manner. When I spoke to the manager after our meal to let him know how I felt about being treated so inappropriately, he (who was out there amongst the crew and knew exactly what happened) claimed to not understand what I was talking about, tried to make excuses, and even acted as if they did nothing wrong. You just cannot treat customers this way. There is a tactful and respectful way to relay a message and this was NOT IT! There are many places with delicious BBQ and this will not be a place I visit or a recommendation on my list. A little bit of kindness goes a long way.

There were 9 of us that visited this location on 3/28 after my grandson completed bootcamp. The reviews looked great the place looked nice so we decided to give it a shot. Me and my grandson ordered burnt ends and my wife ribs. Competition BBQ'rs claim ribs shouldn't fall off the bone but when I struggled to cut her ribs with a steak knife this was too much. I had a couple of pieces of burnt ends that were excellent, the rest tasted like dried roast. Me and my family love BBQ and don't mind paying for it if you can enjoy it but for $87 for the 3 of us, this was ridiculous. I would invite M.S. to my house in FL. And I'll cook some ribs in my small electric smoker that would knock their socks off. To be fair this was my only visit there and the place got fairly busy but us 3 were not the only ones that didn't enjoy what should have been an enjoyable lunch.

First time going to Midwood and it was very busy for lunch . I had the compo meat plate and was taken back a little . Almost disappointed, the food was way to salty to enjoy . Maybe the rub got a extra cup of salt, but the chopped bbq was the worst. The hushpuppies were way to small to drop in a frier and came out grease and way over cook. Next, the service was way too slow with all the salt, and it was hard to get anyone to bring us a refill. All the food was just warm even the sides were to cold to enjoy. Last thing no handicap parking .Parking: For a restaurant this size and no handicap parking is a shame. Not very handicap friendly tables to close for a wheelchair.

Went for a celebratory dinner and was not disappointed! My husband and I both got the "Well fed combo platter." Ribs were fall off the bone and the brisket just melts in your mouth. We will definitely be back for more!
