They were out of brisket and chicken but the ribs were good. The greens and Mac n cheese were good too. Their bourbon sauce is awesome!!! Over all I was pretty satisfied!!!

While passing through Darlington today decided to stop at Holt Bros BBQ. Decided on a 5 rib plate with fried Okra and hushpuppies. The ribs were some of the best I have ever eaten. The Okra was cooked to perfection and the hushpuppies were also very good.I am surprised at some of the reviews but what I got today will lead me back here again in the future.

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat that was not crowed. So here we are! The only people were in there was a couple sitting in a booth and a man at the counter. We ordered and I set down at a booth. My husband brought my bottled water to me as he waits for the order. I notice that the bottle was damaged and asked my husband to get me a cup. He went back to ask for a cup and this man told him we don't have cups, I guess he was saying cup for the water because my husband already had a cup of tea. My husband told him the bottle was damaged and we only need a cup. Well, this guy went off! My husband looked back and asked him what his problem was. This guy told my husband "you are in the wrong damn place now". That's when my husband went verbally back at him. He looked at me asked me did I want the food. I told him NO! Got out of the booth, my husband told him to cancel our order and give him his money back and he put that cup of tea back on the counter. As my husband was getting his money that man that was at the counter with us came over to me and apologize for the man because he could not believe how he came off to my husband. I told him he didn't need to do this because this guy is talking about a bottle of water and a $.25 cup. We left and will not return to this establishment. We are not bad people and we definitely did not do anything to be treated like this. Well, I guess they choose $.25 over a customer. By the way, it was Valentine's Day and we did not want a crowd and he did not have a crowd! i gave 1 star because you have to have one. That's the only reason!
I've tried their Pork and Brisket and I'll have to say I felt majestic after eating them I tried their wings and I felt like I had wings their managers were neat I recommend eating at Holt Bros
