Driving through on a road-trip. Almost ended up at Cookout but did a quick search for tacos and thankfully found this place. Had excellent, authentic al pastor and chorizo tacos and a delicious hibiscus drink which one of the servers kept refilling. Super friendly staff and food came out very quickly. Tacos came with great homemade hot sauces.

What a cool little spot with authentic food. This place has the dive and bodega vibe - 100%. Simple delicious food that was just perfect. So fresh and authentic. Great fajitas, tacos (different types), freshly made guac, mind blowing flan and super perfect tres leches cake. And the server was friendly and super attentive. I will be back - for sure !

We were on a road trip from Georgia and wanted to grab a bite to eat and stretch our legs. A Goodie search popped this place up along with a few other chain restaurants. I went with La Oaxaquena because it looked more authentic than the rest and I was RIGHT! The food was awesome! Freshly made chips and salsa, a slamming al pastor burrito, the kids said it was the best quesadillas they ever had, and my wife loved the torta. All delicious! The people were also kind and inviting, but the place was rundown. It's in a small town that also looked worse for wear and had fallen on hard times, I'd say, but we enjoyed our meal there and so will you.

Authentic Mexican restaurant off of 95 north. Def pass through if you are anywhere en route between ATL and the Carolinas. I knew it was legit because my husband couldn't pronounce the name. Also, it's a Bodega restaurant combo so you can walk in, grab a jarritos from the cooler and sit down to order. Decor felt like a bodega restaurant. What else is there to say? Sombreros, and basic drug store supplies available for purchase. The kitchen area is cordoned off by a string of national flags from central and Southern America.Service is excellent. People are friendly. If I were cold enough I def could have practiced my Spanish here.Ordered a chicken torta and a horchata. Delish. Chicken was tender and the sandwich was packed with veggies. Kids got quesadillas and fries and hubs went for the burrito al pastor. Family of four ate for $34 and left with 3 to go boxes. Not complaining. Will try to stop through next time we come this way.

This is a small family owned, very rare place that serves great food that can be found in the better Mexico restaurants. The meales are large at low cost. What I found amazing is that the other half is a grocery store that can be found in Mexico.

Small convenience store / restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. Food was fresh, fast and good. Meats were all cooked well, juicy. Shrimp as well. Food was not over seasoned so you may need to add salt, or better yet some of their homemade hot sauce. Prices here are extremely reasonable for what they are serving. Low point is the atmosphere which is a convenience store. Can be a bit loud and distracting. But this may be why prices were so good. In the end well worth the stop for a bite to eat.
