I ordered the mixed meat shawarma, meat pastelito, and 3 piece falafel. The shawarma was packed with flavor and warm spices. The portion was much bigger than I anticipated, so sides are really not necessary. The falafel was a little drier than I prefer, but the flavor was really good! The meat pastelito was light and flaky on the outside with a tasty ground beef filling. It was great on its own and didn’t require any sauce, even though a side of lion sauce came with it. The Caracas Lion is a welcome addition to the Cherrydale area and I’ll definitely be back!
