Lestor’s BBQ is an amazing no frills hometown cooking mom and pop shop restaurant. The collard greens were incredible.
The fried chicken was amazing! I also enjoyed the pulled pork a lot. The sides weren't as impressive but I'd go here just for the chicken so anything else is just a bonus.

So glad me made a detour to catch this restaurant! Longest operating restaurant in Hampton county. I believe I've never gotten food this great from a buffet. I felt like it was thanksgiving with everyone bringing their best plates to share.
Great homestyle, country cooking and plenty of it, only place I know to go get rutabagas. The greens are fantastic and old-Timey, salted fatback right on the buffet to eat with the greens and other vegetables. Choice Fried Chicken, pork roast, and pulled pork. Great service, great homey, friendly, picnic style atmosphere, buffet style. Tons of comfort foods like home seasoned rice, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. You'll never run out of your drinks, because they bring the whole pitcher to your table. Also features a salad and dessert bar! One of my favorite places to go anywhere!! Worth going out of your way try!!! Make sure to leave time for a nap after you here!! / Update, 8-13-22 The food was better than ever, today. And I may be the only one happy about it. But they added jalapenos to the salad bar. :) / 10-26-23 update; I usually won't let myself have it. But I ate light. And Lester's has fresh fried fat-back to put in your greens... Delivered fresh to my table straight off the grill. Yes Ma'am, I'm a boy from the deep south. :)

Arrive hungry because you're gonna want to try a little bit of everything on the buffet! It's all good! Today I had fried chicken, roast beef, ham, BBQ, yams, sweet potato souffle, hash, mashed potatoes, green beans, collards, and banana pudding. But there was so much more I didn't have room for! Casual buffet style with some long tables for families or groups and smaller tables also. Clean restrooms.
