Food was delicious for everyone but me, i have been there twice and they messed up my order both times i sent it back, and it was continuously wrong at least twice both times.I am not usually the type to post bad reviews, but this just seems like the chefs don't pay attention to what the waiters write down. Both times I could see clear as day that the waitress had it right.

The Lamplighter has opened again under the name Chris's Diner. It's located out on Pamplico Hwy across from Cain's BBQ. I'm sorry we chose it as our first dine in experience in almost a year. A lot of diners were there. The interior was bright, clean and nice. But....waitress has to wipe down the table because busboy left it wet and nasty looking. The coffee was weak and the service was extremely slow. Plus side was the food was very good and plentiful. My complaint is the way COVID rules were almost completely ignored by most of the employees. Only 2 waitresses that we saw wore face masks the proper way. Most wore them with noses completely uncovered. One man actually wore his under his chin. There are many restaurants in Florence that require employees and customers to practice safe COVID rules. We will not be eating at Chris's Diner again.

Stopped here for breakfast while escaping Hurricane Dorian. The food and service was great. This is an apparent local favorite with absolutely great food. We had our breakfast before I could make a quick bathroom trip and every morsel was superb. The grits were amazing as was the ham. recommend

Business caught fire and is closed for now. Hopefully they will rebuild and open soon.

Stopped for breakfast and so glad we did. A real local spot with good coffee and great food. Pancakes are fluffy and the sausage was a local brand made into a patty, really good. The staff and other customers are very friendly.
This is my first time eating here and it was great breakfast and service and prices. Being an Army retiree like myself I loved how they promote Military awareness. Listening to all these Veterans talk makes me feel like being around family. I will return.

They have great food and great service. They have southern home cooked food and fast food such as burgers and sandwiches. They have been around forever because of the home town feeling and great food. Their waitress Michelle has been with them for yrs. We all love her . She makes you feel right at home and makes sure everything is to your liking. She is a joy to be around.

We walked in but didn't stay. Didn't seem like a place my crew should eat. Great place for veterans, probably not the best for POCs

The food has flavor. No salt, ketchup or steak sauce needed. It's extremely affordable and they treat you like family. Like the family you actually want to see.
