I'm deeply disappointed by this experience! The waitstaff, led by owner Daniel, displayed shocking rudeness and prejudice. Since the Covid outbreak in 2021, during which they were illegally selling alcohol in to-go cups, I've avoided this restaurant entirely. Sadly, their once-delicious food has undergone significant changes and doesn't resemble its original quality. With numerous fantastic Mexican restaurants in Florence, it's disheartening to see this establishment fail to appreciate loyal customers like myself.

Hailing from Los Angeles I have had excellent Mexican food, and San Jose’s is on par with the best I’ve had. This is elevated and sophisticated Mexican cuisine. The veggie quesadilla was smoky and had a complex flavor profile; the veggie enchiladas with spinach sauce were top notch. Try the skinny spicy pineapple margarita. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this spot if you’re in Florence, SC

We had a party of 3. Two orders came out incorrect: One order of 3 crunchy tacos came out with 3 soft tacos instead. An order of Burrito Mexicano with a request of lettuce and tomatoes on the side, came out with no lettuce or tomatoes. I ordered Supreme Nachos, which the menu lists as being topped with shredded lettuce and tomatoes. There were no tomatoes and rather than shredded lettuce, they used a salad mix with carrots and red cabbage mixed in with the lettuce. When I advised the waiter of carrots and cabbage in my nachos, his response was just that that’s how they make it. Thoroughly disappointed and will not come back again.

Convenient location off the interstate and mall. Decent menu with options for vegans. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our food was served quickly and hot. My tacos were ok, my daughter really enjoyed hers.

My family and I met here on Saturday 3/9 to eat and celebrate two birthdays. The food came out hot and we all thought the food tasted great. A few of us, including myself, ended up getting sick early Sunday morning into today with the common denominator being this restaurant. As a result, we won’t be back.

Driving through, I'm staying in the area. We chose this place because it was pretty close. Let's Cut to the chase. Walked in and sat in booth seats which were seemingly broken almost sunk down to the floor. We started off with a couple of margaritas which were barely decent. The waiter was nice and attentive but honestly he should have noticed the slop we were given. After receiving the order we decided not to risk our lives. Cheese quesadilla came out cold, greasy looking and uncooked. Not to mention a tiny portion. Did I say cold? I mean the shredded cheese looked refrigerated. Flashes of hanging out by the toilet all night flashed in front of my eyes. The Chipotle Chicken salad came out looking overcooked in a small over fried tortilla shell with meat spilling out everywhere. Sort of like dog food in a bowl. Presentation was lacking. We lost our appetite, pulled ourselves off the broken cushioned seating, paid the bill and alerted the waiter about the terrible food, we paid for it and left, I know , I know we should have made a stink but we were hungry it was late in this town and we needed to get something edible in a hurry. Manager and the staff are very rude. This place is huge let down. The current manager will run down this place. Very unprofessional and absolutely does not care about the customers. Never going back and everyone should avoid this place. Absolutely disappointed.

Absolutely horrible. I’ve never had an experience like this. Horrible staff and horrible management. Food was decent but service is horrendous. We came to celebrate a birthday, but the cake was thrown at the table, napkins were thrown at the table, they refused to give us a lighter for candles, and the young waitress argued with us. We asked for the table to be cleared 3 times and we ended up clearing it. The manager then proceeded to argue with us and we ended up leaving. The waitresses attitude was unbelievable and the manager was even worse. And we never received an apology. Never ever coming back… go to zapatas instead. They never fail us! :)
What's not to like..tasty tacos, freshly made chips, and full liquor bar..Try the pork belly tacos..sweet and tender..

Left civic center for dinner and manager wouldn't let kids sit together and split the bill with parents paying so we moved to a table together which was cramped but we were hungry. Food was okay but not great. Waitress was very good!
