I ordered the Amanti Della Carne pizza, and they were out of the gremolata, but they didn’t tell me until after my pizza was brought out.

Random stop as I drove by on the way back to Columbia. The beers were excellent. Food was excellent (Philly Cheesesteak). Service was excellent. Danny? The bartender provided outstanding service!

My husband always gets the pizza, sometimes he has a burger. He always orders the pizza with no sauce or oil and no extra seasoning sprinkled on top. He's allergic to garlic and onions. Several times we've had the kitchen manager take time out of his very busy schedule to come talk with us about the allergy note the waitress put on the order. We typically go on a Friday night to hear the live music and it is crowded so for him to come out and talk directly with us was something! We aren't beer drinkers so we can't comment on the brews. Love the fact that they do some special meals. I've had the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and Leroy Brown sauce. It's my favorite of the specials. The ham and Gouda cheese egg rolls are awesome too! Recently, I stepped out of my normal order and asked if they could modify the BLT and put pimento cheese instead of mayo. They were more than happy and now I have another favorite menu item! The pretzel and honey butter is always a hit!!

Very disappointed. First time at Southern Hops and we were greeted and sat immediately. The problem was with the food. We ordered the buffalo chicken nachos.we ordered them without the blue cheese on the nachos, on the side please, got them on the nachos. Waitress took them back to the kitchen and reordered them and they were dry and just not worth the cost. Beer selection is good and tasty. Don't come hungry.

Excellent service, good pizza, and very cold beer! Great family atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I was excited to try Southern Hops. I arrived at 9:50pm. Their website and their door says they close at 11pm. I was met just inside the door and told they were closed. The employee said they started closing down at 10:30. Remember, it wasn't even 10 yet. Nothing he said made any sense. Despite the place looking great and a nice menu, I will not go back. There are too many other choices that aren't misleading.

Tasty bites and great beer choices. I like the IPAs and their hazy was very nice. Other half likes the darker pours and sampled a flight. I had the shrimp burrito with collards. Their collards are sweet, boiled in honey tea. I added spicy vinegar. The remoulade sauce is amazing. Nice bartenders and chill patrons. Kind of Big warehouse feel, but not cold at all.

So this place is huge. Very casual and they had a band playing in the corner that was amazing. They had a lot of beers on tap to make flights the way you want. Great selection. The pizza was really good and there is a huge difference in sizes the large is absolute huge and the small a little bigger than a personal pan. The pizza was really good (sorry no picture, I was hungry). I would definitely recommend this place especially if love beer and pizza with a great vibe.

This place was crazy busy. Even for a Saturday night. Had to drive to what I think is a third parking lot. In my flight I got the Southern Hops Pops Pilsner, Goldilocks Blonde, Aries Marzen, and the Beach Peach American Pale Wheat. Pops was a really good Pilsner. It had just the right amount of everything to create a well balanced beer and a smooth finish. Goldilocks was very close to the Pilsner. Aries was not as dark as the typical Marzen I'm used to but it had the flavor. Also a good choice. Beach Peach was my favorite. I didn't think I would like this one. It's not cloudy like a typical wheat beer but it has the flavors of a wheat beer. I could see this as a favorite at summer BBQs. My waitress Sarah Grace was outstanding. Always there for me when I needed her. I ordered the smokehouse burger which was outstanding. Lots of flavors. Especially liked the peppered bacon. It was the sweet with the hot. My last flight was Rooster, peach Wheat (again), waccamaw wheat and sunset. Rooster was a nice red ale. Balanced and smooth unlike other red ales that tend to have a bite at the end. Waccamaw was another wheat that was not cloudy. It was the wheat without the peach. I liked the peach better. Sunset had a bit of a strange citrus taste to it. I drank it but this was my least favorite. I've stopped here before on my travels to and from conferences in Florida. I'll definitely be back. Went home with 3 crowlers of the peach as gifts.

The chili was entirely too salty for my taste buds and they were gracious enough to remove it as I only ate a spoonful. The crafts are endless and worth the commute. The servers are nice as well.

The atmosphere was pretty chill and the live music was great but the food was severely lacking. They offer a little bit of everything but the best tasting item on the menu was the burger. We had a soccer team and their parents so we all tried different items. The nachos had a few clumps of chicken (not seasoned), the pizza looks amazing but the sauce threw the whole flavor off. It wasn't good at all. The grilled cheese wasn't buttered and fried in a skillet. It was some plain white bread and cheese. The Mac n cheese was okay but could've been better. Overall if you're just going for beer it's great. Don't go during game day though because there are very few tvs, so not a sports bar vibe either. Maybe they are still trying to figure out what they want to be best at?? Once was enough for me.

We go here for the pizza and it’s great each time. This time it could have had a bit more sauce but still great nonetheless. It’s a bit loud when they have someone performing just as a heads up.
