We got there at 830pm the waitress come like 10 seconds after we have seat down and ask us if we were ready to order no time to look at the menu also she was kind of a hurry she told us the kitchen close in 15 minutes we need it to order after getting our I order a drink and she didn't understand what kind of drink I want it so that's no good.we order some steak was under cook my wife went to the bathroom and throw up she didn't even finish her meal, the only good thing was the wings but other then that.. service needs to be better

I used to frequent this restaurant. However, not planning on going back as it appears they have downgraded on their food and increased their prices. I was surprised to see that my wife and I were charged .59 a glass for tap water. They used to have a really good salad, but the lettuce looked like confetti and the blue cheese was the worst we have ever had and had no blue cheese crumbles. We ordered the ribs. The dinner used to be 16.99 with a potato, coleslaw, and a salad. Now it is 26.49 and we didn't even get any coleslaw. Pretty disappointed. Will not go back. This was my wife's favorite place to go. Wondering if there was a change in management.

We haven't recently in our lives experienced a place that is so consistent in quality nor as welcoming as Carolina Cafe. The wait staff alone is enough to make us visit every day! They make us feel like family EVERY TIME! Then.... THERE IS THE FOOD! HOLY COW, it is beyond compare. We have had steaks, salads, fried onions, rolls, BLUE CHEESE DRESSING (BEST EVER HOUSE MADE), ALFREDO, and the list goes on. Listen, if you love feeling the warmth of a local dive, the opulence of fine dining (which WE DO), and the affordable prices that make eating out at your favorite restaurant a regular possibility, you won't find a more perfect place than Carolina Cafe. PLEASE, visit once, and we GUARANTEE you will be hooked for life! Ask for Megan Rose, a lovely young woman who will help you settle in like cold hands in a warm pair of gloves!!! Update: new ownership, Quality has diminishedRating Carolina Cafe is absolutely easy, this is the best steak and seafood restaurant in the Gaffney area, period.Update: Carolina Cafe is under new ownership, and it appears that servings are smaller than what they were, and food preparation seems to be a little erratic. In all fairness it may be partially due to the covid problem they may be unable to keep experienced help on a regular basis and their chefs may be in a turnover situation.Update 02/06/24: This is our first visit in quite awhile. We are very pleasantly surprised. Steak and giant shrimp are back to what they used to be... Wonderful! The food was really good and well prepared. Service was impeccable. All in all, we're really glad we can go back to our favorite restaurant again.

what has happened? This used to be my favorite place to get a ribeye steak, but apparently they have started buying a lower grade of meat. I've went there twice now in the last couple of months gotten the ribeye each time and it's definitely changed! my last 2 steaks have been really tough!!! I've hear that they have new owners. The waiters are great, my salad was great, but my steak was like chewing leather. This used to be the best place around Gaffney or Shelby to get a steak. definitely a lower grade of meat. It's a shame!
