Food was great. Recommend the Butterfinger cake. Hotdogs tasty and inexpensive. Large hamburger steak was 3 meals for me. My battery died while I was there and an employee was kind enough to give me a jump. Thanks, stranger! Always great to support locally owned businesses.

This is a small, old-time burger dive that warmly reminds me of a million places I have been in, but not in a long time. Order your food, have low expectations, and eat without comparing your burger to your favorite burger place's burger. Same with the fries and o-rings. While eating, I looked around at the others dining here: slowly chewing; faraway stares; listening to the TV that sits too high on the wall. I sensed they were relaxed and at home; that they chose this place over more promising possibilities.Hey! It is close to Kings Mountain National Military Park.

The Arsenal; it's been here in this same location since I was old enough to get my restricted drivers license at the young age of fifteen! That's a lot of years ago. I was recently here and tried one of their footlong hotdogs! It was good, just not great. I've been a hotdog aficionado most of my life and have always been in search of the perfect one! Sorry; this ain't it! Back in the day when most of the teenage guys I hung around with were a bit impoverished ( myself included) we would stop here and get the five regular sized dogs for less than five bucks! Filled us right up and stayed that way all day long! This place is popular with the race fans who watch the races at Cherokee Speedway! The Arsenal is an institution and I recommend it!

It's a run down place not much to look at.... but the best cheese burger I've ever ate!!!! The girl at the register was attentive and didn't hurry me along when I didn't know what I wanted and answered my questions... and when I ordered my ff burnt they delivered... food was FABULOUS!!!!!!
