“You don't go here for the atmosphere. You go for the good home cooking. I typically rate food places for what they are and not on an absolute scale. So this place may appear a little intimidating if you're from out of town or prefer the polish of the commercial places. I personally love little hole-in-the-wall places like this . But rest assured the food is good, the place is clean, and the peach cobbler is incredible!! The fried chicken is some of the best I've had. Juicy and not greasy. Collard greens were well cooked and on the neutral side without excessive seasoning. Would certainly visit again.“

“I'd heard good things about their menu and decided to take my teens for dinner since other plans fell through. The bar was full when we arrived a little after 7, we took 2 tables near the bar, no hostess or server. A bartender came over to take our order, sweet tea was unsweetened, replaced with soda. Several employees (I assume bc the owner was passing out tax documents to them) seemed to be hanging at the bar, not sure if they were on the clock or not... took over an hour for food to arrive, many to go orders ahead of us apparently. Appetizer came out with the meal (personal pet peeve), but everything except for one sandwich was hot and fresh. Loved the app sampler and fries, my drink was well made and strong, however I really wanted the food to be better. Mac and cheese looked amazing, but there was a strange flavor that kind of got caught in your throat, wraps were ok, limp lettuce too much dressing. Atmosphere was fun, good music, lots of games, I'll definitely come back just for drinks with the adults. I wish they'd had one dedicated server for the night (although I understand it was a quiet Tuesday) to lend a hand running food and whatnot. Full disclosure, the owner is kinda sorta family (lol divorced his nephew), so I wanted to love it but felt meh instead.“

“A cozy atmosphere that greets you even before you enter the building in the form of 3 friendly cats. It feels more like a home than a restaurant with the staff as a family that tends to your dietary needs. The owner Emmi went out of her way to prepare the nachos I ordered vegetarian style for me and the greek spinach wrap was incredible. Local spots like this make me feel welcome after moving down south“

“It's a great little place on 321 in Cayce. Great good and very reasonable. The staff is terrific and very attentive. Coffee is good first thing in the morning. Biscuits and gravy are excellent with breakfast when I am not getting the Gamecock Special.“

“We love Shealy's PDQ Too! The food is always fresh and I've never ordered anything there that I didn't like, Their cheeseburgers are phenomenal! The staff is very friendly, they are attentive and thoughtful. I would affectively call this a local hole in the wall. If you are looking for a luxury diner, this is not it. But if you're looking for a great meal, close to home, or along your drive, this is it.“

“Nice dive. Stopped with the family while traveling through. Wife was skeptical based on the appearance and decor. I assured her all would be well. We had a burger, BLT, and chicken wings . Service was friendly and prompt. Food was very good bar type food (big portions, tasty). Looks like it would be a lot of fun during a game.“

“Stopped there around 9:30pm after flying in to the Columbia Airport. Although the kitchen was already closed, Jacob was so nice to make us some delicious food. Jacob and the bartender Julia went out of their way to make me and my friend comfortable and welcome! We really appreciated the wonderful service and hospitality! Such a great place to go! I hope to visit there again when I am in town.“

“Ya'll!!! This place...is...AMAZING!! Their Firecracker Shrimp is absolutely scrumptious--spicy, savory, and a little tangy but sooooooo good. I wish it wasn't just an appetizer. Regardless, it was amazeballs. I also got wings and onion rings--amazing as well. This was my first time going but I am definitely going to be a repeat customer.“

“Well me and my wife are getting back into shooting pool but the pool hall we drove 20 min. to was closed so we found this little hole in the wall. I will say this they have some if the best pool tables I've ever played on. Very friendly atmosphere inside. My only quirks were it is very dark in the front and needs a neon sign or lights in the front to brighten it up. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I would definetly go back to this bar to shoot pool and the drinks look appealing as well.“

“My quartet goes here every Monday night after practice. Games on all the TVs, good food, and excellent, friendly, and fast service, make us bust out in song.Parking: It may be hard to find a parking spot on a busy night, but we show up with 4 vehicles. So there is that.“

“The Waffle House that was most recently remodeled just off of the freeway near Maurices is the best one to visit. It is always clean, the staff are courteous , and they serve you quick. NOTE, do not visit the newer one off off Platt Springs Rd . It is the diametrically opposite. Dirty and poorly run. But this place runs like a top.Parking: Plenty of free parking and wheelchair ♿ spots also.“

“Great food, we had the 18 piece traditional wings 1/2 teriyaki for my wife and 1/2 lemon pepper for myself. The lemon ? pepper ?️ wings were delicious ?. Will continue to frequent this establishment as I have not been able to find lemon pepper wings of this quality, every other place I have tried the wings have been super salty or not cooked enough.“

“This had to be one of the best experiences we've had. The restaurant was clean, the food good and the staff awesome! The head cook left his station to personally go to every table and great everyone and wish them a Merry Christmas. The way he presented himself, I thought he was the manager or owner! Kudos to this location.“

“We recently enjoyed breakfast at Waffle House, conveniently located at 2846 Charleston Hwy, West Columbia, SC 29172. It's safe to say that this particular Waffle House stands out as the best in the Columbia area, and here's why. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. Notably, the restaurant is consistently clean, which is always a plus. Even more impressive is the friendly waitstaff, who seem to have an uncanny knack for remembering our order, even when we visit with months in between. Our go-to choice at Waffle House is the All-Star Specials, a hearty meal consisting of 2 scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, and grits. We like to add a little extra flavor by including cheese in our eggs and grits. The portions are generous, and we share a single waffle since it's already a substantial meal.I've explored various breakfast spots in Columbia, but Waffle House consistently delivers when seeking excellent service, cleanliness, affordability, and always delicious food. It has become our top choice for a satisfying breakfast experience.“
