We had a great time at Tierra Caliente. As we came in, we were immediately seated by a man with a big smile on his face. We sat down and he took our drink order right away, and served us quickly. Overall staff was very friendly and kind. But the real standout was the food. The chips were piping hot and the salsa was great, the tacos (while small) pack huge flavor. These are some of the best tacos I've ever had, so flavorful and juicy. The street corn was also incredible. I've had it at other restaurants before, but here it was also so flavorful. We ended with churros which were piping hot, and a great value for how many we got. Excellent experience all around.

Authentic food! Huge menu! My husband is very happy with their selection and often orders food he can't get at other Mexican restaurants. Service is always good, make sure to check out at the counter. They even gave us a sample of their new pineapple tamales! Which turns out is delicious. I hope this place gets busy because they deserve it.

Absolutely delicious. Some of the best mole and chilaquiles we've had in a while. There are so many other menu items we want to try.
The food was amazing. We had the tamales, taco Americana and the California burrito. All of it was fresh and delicious. I ordered the margarita, a little skeptical, but it was really good. Service was awesome. We will be back!

The best burrito I’ve ever had in Charleston. I’d never thought until today to ask from what region of Mexico the cuisine originates while dining at Mexican restaurants. I asked today because there was such a noticeable difference in quality in their burritos compared to everywhere else. Guerrero, Mexico, in case you’re curious. Staff was also very kind.
