This spot has potential if they make a few tweaks. They currently have you to complete a menu order sheet prior to approaching the counter, which is fine. The lady behind the counter talks really low and the music is very very loud behind her so that's a issue. She also just looks like she doesn't want to be there. My food was hit and miss. Sweet potato cobbler was good. The mac and cheese was way overcooked.....noodles were soft and mushy. Always gotta undercook those noodles if you plan to bake them as well! The baked chicken was good.....a little bit too much salt but still palatable. The okra was good. The dressing had wonderful flavor yet it seemed to have not been baked long enough. That lemonade was just not good at all to me.

The cashier, (you get woman) was VERY RUDE to me, made me feel so uncomfortable I don't want to go back. The kitchen was great and very helpful. But the customer service behind the register needs to change before I ever come back. Rolling her eyes huffing and puffing and having an attitude for no reason

I had family visiting from California and they wanted to have soul food. We went to the restaurant on July 15th and we're so disappointed!! They have a new system for ordering where you fill out a handwritten menu and give to the cashier so your order can be made. I completely understand this was done due to the pandemic, however, the cashier had music playing loudly behind her and she was wearing a mask so I had to ask for the total 3 times as I was not able to hear or understand her. In addition, the cashier was very unfriendly!! When our food arrived it was sub par. It was not seasoned and just looked sloppy! I have been to Grandma's many times in the past and had really enjoyed the food and the service. I don't know what's happened but I do know I will not be returning.!!

Ordered through Uber eats and on the app is says to be contacted if something not available. Okay cool no biggie. My driver called, they was out of dressing today. No problem just remove it. 2nd call from driver. He said they do not sell 2 PCs fried chicken. Even tho Uber eats had it as an option. Still no problem. I said remove it. Someone from the restaurant got on the line and explain the size they offered or replace with something else . I replied you can remove it. I then asked him did they have the rest of my order ? That offended him. He skipped over my question . This was my 2nd call about something they did not have/or offered smh. This was my first time ordering. Guess what they canceled my order. After an hour of waiting.

The location was questionable. Once in you were greeted with a friendly voice. Staff was great. I like the way you pick your food. The food is awesome. Great classic tastes. I will definitely be back. Please don't judge this book by the outside appearances. I think you won't be let down.
