I wanted this place to be better than it was. It wasn’t nearly as good as average home cooked. When it was empty at 8 pm on Friday, we knew it was a bad sign. Got the pepian chicken - if there is a national dish in Guatemala it is this one. The sauce was kind of gelled and bland, lacking the complex toasted spice I love which define the dish.
