Our first dining experience at Larkin’s last night was wonderful. The host sat us outside and we were quickly greeted by our waitress Cassandra who asked if we were celebrating anything special. We were heading to the show at the peace center and explained that we had to be out by 7:40pm. She reassured us that we would. She recommended us a few dishes and we were not disappointed. Even though the drinks took a very long time due to the fact that the bar was packed, Cassandra made everything seem smooth. We will be back and will be requesting her next time!

It was our first time meeting our future son in law’s parents. I really wanted to make sure they enjoyed themselves. Food was great…service, not so great. It wasn’t the salads she forgot to bring. It wasn’t even the side order of asparagus that she had forgotten either. It was how she catered and spoke to our guests that stood out. Maybe because she barely looked our way or said anything to us all night. I have never witnessed such blatant disregard in a service situation before in my life. Perhaps it wouldn’t have been so obvious if the other part of the service team wasn’t so equally attentive to everyone at our table, even to our 12 year old guest. I think his name was Miguel? I can’t remember our waitress’ name. She’s older and Caucasian. Perhaps because our in laws were also older and Caucasian, that’s why she spoke mostly to them. Apologized to them when she forgot MY husband’s salad. Apologized to them when she forgot OUR order of asparagus. If it weren’t for Miguel and Larkin’s manager, when he came by our table to apologize for the mistakes, I was starting to think we didn’t exist! It’s just disappointing growing up in America for almost 50 years and my family is still treated poorly by the color of our skin.

After popping in for a last minute dessert we decided to book dinner reservations for the following day requesting Teri and her teammate as our servers. While the place stays busy the staff, including the manager took the time to share a laugh with us and even surprised us with a few glasses of delicious champagne. Our meals were exceptional as was dessert which should not be skipped. Thank you to Teri and the rest of the staff for making our evening memorable.

My favorite fine dining experience dinner of all time is at BrickTop’s where I get the pan seared Seabass. I love it so much that I decided I would branch out and try it at Larkin’s. I was severely disappointed. I am used to getting a nice thick fillet of Seabass at BrickTop’s. Here,I received two smaller, thinner portions that were split, almost as if they were end pieces. They were tasteless and waxy and I regret not complaining to my waiter about it considering it cost $58. Not only was I extremelydisappointed in the Seabass, the service was less than exceptional. Although our waiter and waitress were very nice, they forgot the bread, they forgot my mom’s Pepsi, a side was wrong on my child’s tasting dinner, and it took forever to get the childrens’ desserts. On the flip side, the bread and butter, fries, Caesar salad, and creme brûlée were delicious, and I could recommend those. My mom and sister got scallops and those were scrumptious too.We sat on the terrace and it was lovely, but I would only go back for drinks. Do not go here and get the Seabass thinking it is going to be as delicious as the one at BrickTop’s- you’ll be disappointed. I’m just even more disappointed in myself for not speaking up about it while I was there.

Outstanding restaurant. The staff was very knowledgeable about the nuances of their offerings, the menu was well-planned and provided many choices, and everything was absolutely delicious. A great place for special occasions or date night. Save up, it ain't cheap, but that's what special occasion places are for. You'll be glad you invested in this lovely memory.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here last night. We were seated at a quiet table away from the hustle and bustle, which was very considerate, and received complementary champagne to celebrate. We ordered the crab cake, shrimp and grits, scallops, and brussels sprouts. All the food was delicious and Matthew was a fantastic server!! Highly recommend!

I felt so special. I never had two waiters before. The manager came to greet me and it was a great atmosphere. I loved the decor of the restaurant.I was not disappointed, but this experience exceeded my expectations. The appetizer was amazing. My entrée was super yummy, and the birthday surprise was memorable. It was a great birthday dinner ? and experience.Thank youDietary restrictions: I shared I am allergic to pork

Our party of four (3 adults, 1 child) arrived at Larkins around 545pm on Tuesday and sat at an outside table. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. She asked if we were celebrating a special occasion, which we told her we had just gotten married. We then ordered drinks and appetizers (2 bowls she crab soup, oysters, and calamari) which came out quickly. The appetizers were the best part of the meal. After our appetizers were cleared, we sat for nearly 45 minutes waiting in our entrees. When they finally arrived (2 pork meals, kids grilled cheese, and mushroom ravioli), the plates were extremely hot and the food was maybe luke warm. Disappointing after waiting so long to get the food. We were not impressed with the entrees flavors. The pork especially was much better looking than it tasted.I was surprised we were not offered a champagne or dessert being that we were just married. This was our first experience at the new location and unfortunately it will be our last.

Lovely restaurant. We dined here before seeing the final show Tina Turner Musical at Peace Center. We ordered appetizers because we didn’t want to eat heavy and seat through a show. Our meal began with crusty delicious sourdough baguettes (didn’t really have the sour taste of sourdough, which was fine because I don’t care for sourdough bread). Followed by three deviled eggs which were quite tasty and shareable. Then we had the she-crab soup which was very delicious and seasoned perfectly. Next appetizer (that really took a long time to come) was the apple & prosciutto salad. The salad is full of greens, two types of apples, and spicy walnuts. It was good but could have been better if it came with the missing prosciutto and dried figs. (SMH)Our last appetizer the crab cakes were tasty. The texture was different (creamy) than what we were use to (coming from MD/VA area) but it was seasoned and tasty. Our server was pleasant and personable and offered good meal recommendations. We plan to return to try one of those humongous ribeyes!

We used to eat at the old Larkins at the park regularly. We went twice to the new location and were extremely disappointed. Food was overpriced and mediocre at best. We even did a group dinner with 10 people, and every person complained about the value and quality of the meal. It is not the same anymore. We have no plans to return. With a couple of drinks and a meal it can easily be over $100 per person. At that price everything should be superb.

horrible wait staff! Seated at 6 pm prior to an 8 pm show across the street at the peace center. We are season ticket holders and have already been to Larkins 2 times this season and this was just pathetic. Food was good- not great - but good.We took my husbands mom and dad out for dinner and a show for their 54 wedding anniversary. Reservation for 615, seated at 6- first waiter ( ? Michael) asked if we were seeing the show. Then brings our drinks- we literally had to flag he and his partner waiter ( guierellmo) down to place our order 45 minute after being seated. Food did not arrive until 1 hour 15 minutes after being seated. Wait staff stopped by the table 2 times only- and only when flagged down. Never voluntarily stopped to ask if we needed anything. Obviously no time for dessert of anything to mark a pretty special anniversaryTo get the bill so that we could leave at 745 - I had to go and find a manager- manager offered very weak apology and did not come to the table to offer an apology to the others. Bill still didn’t arrive for another 5 minutes, and they knew we were in a rush to make the show this point. 74 year old mother in law ( walks with a cane)had to basically sprint to the theater.Horrible experience- restaurant was not crowded enough to explain such poor service. Manager ( Jason) was a very poor representative of a normally decent restaurant
