My wife and I had a date night here after years of hearing promoters and detractors. The detractors won this argument from my experience and I will be one of them. I had a Peddler Old Fashioned drink. It was good. We shared two appetizers, the scallops and bacon wrapped filet. Scallops were great and the only reason the food rating isn’t a 1. Bacon wrapped filet bites were overdone, but somewhat saved by the horseradish sauce. The salad I made wasn’t bad, I’m just not a fan of salad bars. My experience at this one held true to my feelings as the man in line in front of me was eating off his plate at the bar while grabbing stuff. To me this doesn’t belong in what would be considered a higher end restaurant. A salad bar should also alleviate the kitchen, yet entrees still seemed to take over an hour. For entrees I had the rib-eye (rare) cut at the table with mushroom Demi glacé, baked potato and cream spinach. My wife had the special which was a NY strip (med well) with grilled shrimp and a lobster butter with loaded mashed potatoes. Both steaks were close enough to being cooked right, but the ribeye was not seasoned well. The “Demi glacé” was more of a roux gravy and did not taste good at all. I ended up scraping it off and dipping in the saved horseradish sauce. The baked potato was old or way overdone and cream spinach was underdone with cheese barely melted. Didn’t really eat either. My wife’s “special”was a very thin NY strip, which she enjoyed with the lobster butter, but she and I agreed the shrimp were not good. She and I split one shrimp and did not eat the rest. They tasted off to say the least. Her side was also cold. To me the worst part was the atmosphere. Everything seemed very dated. Not even in a nostalgic way, just a negligent careless way. We have family with disabilities who would be unable to traverse to or through the restaraunt, let alone the very inaccessible bathrooms. The worst to me is in the men’s bathroom there is a life size poster of Marylin Monroe in see through lingerie. This sealed the deal that this is not a tasteful high end steak house, but a dated over rated, low end place that I will not bring my family to.

The signature ribeye was very tough and chewy even after choosing the more "fat" side of the roast. Our table of 4 all had the same meat and should have sent it back but we didn't want to wait. Too pricey for a chewy piece of ribeye. Service was good, salad bar complete, but probably will not go back when Texas Roadhouse has a better ribeye for a lot less money. Pretty nice atmosphere as well but again, it's supposed to be a steakhouse and the signature steak was very disappointing

The scallops were the only flavorful item that I experienced here. I asked for the ribeye to be medium, it came to my table medium rare at best, it was very chewy and had literally no flavor at all. If you grew up eating food with seasonings on it, prepare yourself for disappointment. I rarely order steaks from restaurants and this is exactly why. Definitely won't be going back here again. Looks like City Range will be the only place I order steaks from. The service was ok but the parking is terrible. If there is no parking in their small lot then you have to park down the road and walk up the street and try not to get hit by no cars because there is no sidewalk, and at night those cars fly up that road. So wear reflective vest ??‍♂️

Did not disappoint! Great food and service. Walking up to the front door could be a challenge to seniors, but that's it! Friendly helpful staff, great ambiance as well. Salad bar has a lot of choices!

They have the best service and the best food. This is the only place that I will pretty much get a steak from nowadays. Their fillets are always juicy and cooked perfectly. If I had the money to eat here every single night, I probably would.

The Peddler in Greenville is our go to date night location. We drive from Hendersonville to have the best meals and impeccable service. The staff is genuine and friendly; the salad bar is delicious and the entree are just what you need. From the shrimp cocktail, to NY Strip, the grilled chicken, and the massive pork entree, you will never be disappointed.-Justin Lovelace

The food and hospitality is exceptional...They just need to update the bathroom....Not at all handicapped friendly.. Parking is another issue. We had to walk from the corner laundromat to the restaurant.... Even with these issues, we will continue to visit The Peddler...Parking: Not nearly enough parking for guest..Not feeling completely comfortable with the walk back and forth from the laundromat at night...Wheelchair accessibility: Not at all wheelchair friendly..The restroom is a step down..Not easy to navigate..

Was told to get there at 4p to be able to get a seat by 5p.. We were the 2nd couple in line. They open up we sit for an hour then get escorted to a patio, it's enclosed but was very cold. We are given salad bar plates, the salad bar is inside of the restaurant .we are outside.. food wasn't that great. I felt it was just a small step above golden coral.. definitely not going back...

I don’t understand the hype. My fiancé and I both got the prime rib plates. It was tough and had no flavor. Salad bar was good and was fresh. I just can’t justify the price for subpar food. The customer service was good. Wait time is insane for the quality. They did provide us a complimentary slice of cheesecake since we were celebrating our anniversary which was very kind. The cheesecake was delicious, but that being the best part of the meal definitely wouldn’t go back. While you wait they have a ‘lounge’ that was meant for a max of 20 people but was holding WAY more. It was claustrophobic and unsafe because we were standing elbow to elbow.Outside atmosphere was beautiful -inside wasn’t all that.

We got there at 5:20 and were told an 1.5hr wait. After an hour asked how many people were in front of us and they said 17. We have an 8mos old so decided to just put in to-go order instead. After giving them the order he said it would be 30min. THAT'S the problem. Upgrade kitchen equipment to cook food faster. For reference it was just 2ppl. Food finally arrived after 45min for a to-go order. The huge desks by the fireplace need to be removed and a long bench placed there for waiting. The flow of the restaurant is terrible. Move the only POS system out of the lobby area. You could turn tables much faster with improved cook times and efficiency in the flow of the restaurant.PS. You owe me $100 for my consulting services.Calamari is burnt, salmon ordered medium-well and was medium, ribeye ordered medium-rare and was rare. That was after 45min for a to-go.
