Due to the restaurant's proximity ordered a few take-outs' in the last few months since I moved to Greenville. Every take-out order of mine except once was messed up (mostly the order was not conveyed back to kitchen). Even had the opportunity of interacting the obnoxiously loud female who I am assuming is the owner of the place. Decided to give eating inside a chance and stopped for lunch on 7th of August. Ordered a dosa in addition to our buffet and order must have not been conveyed back to kitchen. After patiently waiting for almost 20-25 minutes, I approached one of the waiter's on the status of the dosa. After 5 minutes or less a dosa was brought to our table. Dosa was extremely doughy & cold and we barely touched it. When I went to pay our bill, I conveyed to her that the Dosa was very doughy and she could see our table from the checkout counter that it was barely touched. For some reason I apologized for sharing how terrible the dosa. I am assuming checkout person (younger) was probably the owner's daughter and her response "Well, you should speak the truth"! And that was it, there was no apology for an under-cooked Dosa. ‍

The biggest and highest quality Indian buffet I have seen in SC. I've been to over ten Indian restaurants in SC and this one stands above them all. Clean. Kind staff. The owner is the sweetest lady and genuinely talks to you. I love the decor that shows pictures and explanation of Indian food. I can't overstate the breadth of options on the buffet - more than I've ever seen. This is the easy best choice for Indian food in Greenville!

One of the best dosa and flavorful sambar in the Carolinas. Like all businesses, they too are facing a staffing challenge but the owners stepped up to the plate to greet, take orders and serve.

Its food quality had degraded in last few years. If you ask for more spicy expect just more red chilly flakes add to the dish. Some dishes like tandoori and dosas are good.

Had a hankering for some Indian food tonight but did not want to go to my old standby that I've been visiting over 26 years. This restaurant has decent reviews and decided to give it a try. The chicken tikka masala while it had good flavor it lacked the key ingredient, chicken. Only eight small pieces of chicken in the dish. The flavor of the dish was excellent but very little chicken. They did an excellent job of the level 3 spicing of the dish. The second dish we got was their version of chicken korma and it is not the version of chicken korma that I am used to nor that I like. my daughter described it best as a creamed spinach chicken I believe that was spinach in the sauce. wasn't 100% positive. I would not have that dish again. The appetizer sampler I'm still up in the air with that thing we're still nibbling off of it but it wasn't anything spectacular so far I swear the one appetizer appears to be a deep-fried jalapeno cut into sections. We also had their naan bread which we liked. overall I gave the restaurant four stars cuz I thought there was excellent flavor. the place that I would improve was giving people a little more meat in their dishes especially the tiki masala. The korma dish had a lot more meat but it was not our favorite of the two dishes.

FrustratingWe ordered some food for pickup because a friend of ours recommended the place. We were really hungry and excited for some delicious Indian food. We ordered, we picked it up, opened the boxes at home and our excitement turned into frustration.Dry meat, no gravy, no sides like rice or veggies. - this is not what I expected when I placed a order for $52. Tons of onions with some chicken, that’s it. The Garlic naan was delicious, but that it.Seems to be a place for all you can eat buffet. Don’t recommend the take out and will not return.

This is not my first visit to Persis Biryani Indian Restaurant. The food was average, however, the customer service was excellent! I love Indian Cuisine, and this location would be my second choice when I visit Greenville, SC. My meal was a 6 in heat level in the Vegan Masala, and my children loved the heat level of 4 in the Chicken Masala.Thank you for reading my reviews on Google. Service has gotten better and food is always good. My goto dish as a vegetarian is Paneer Butter Masala with Garlic Naan side.

The restaurant was initially good. However, the flavor and the taste of the food is never consistent. The taste of the same item changes every time! The biriyani, majority of the time, is undercooked and the chicken seems to be stale. The service isn't great either. The buffet has empty trays all the time and no one tries to fill them up. One cannot go to the restaurant if the taste of the food keeps changing every visit.Do not recommend going here!

From last few times whenever we have tried Persis we always got disappointed for some or the other reason. Today we ordered Hakka noodles and Paneer tikka masala the quantity was just half of what we used to get earlier.

This used to be initially good. Now, it is just horrific food. A good restaurant that turned awful because probably the chef left. Have you had food at any other persis grill before? Try Columbia one. You will see what I mean. They dont have half the items on the menu ever. The management is lost and the service is very poor. It is possibly worst Indian food I tasted in terms of Veg food. Their chutneys are horrid. Their paneer items contain frozen uncooked paneer that is very rubbery and hard. Do not try. Greenville needs a proper south Indian restaurant. This is not a true Persis grill like how it used to be. It's biryani is simply shameful. I hope someone uses this business opportunity to start an actual Hyderabadi restaurant in Greenville.

This was my first time eating here. I came with my husband and brother for lunch. They have a great lunch special. We each ordered something different (non-veg, chicken tikka masala, and chicken biryani), and all three were excellent choices. We also enjoyed the chai tea they served here. The food and service is really great!
