We had the best breakfast here. You could see & taste it was made fresh. The pound cake sample was truly amazing! We purchased 1/2 doz of assorted cupcakes to share with family & friends. Very fresh & delicious!

I first want to say that I am a big fan of The Pound Cake Man. I have visited the Clemson location and the truck many times and have had slices, cupcakes and whole cakes. I have never had a bad cake. Today I convinced my office to try a whole cake from the Greenville location and was disappointed. I'm sure that compared to other pound cakes this cake was great but it certainly was not the cake that I am used to. The edges were very thick and hard and the cake texture was off. I was not there when the cake was picked up but was told that my coworker did not have a very pleasant experience trying to get the pre-ordered cake. I hope that this was just a one time thing because I only wish the best for this business.Responding to the Pound Cake Man. My coworkers said they would try another cake.

The pound cakes are amazing. The icing is so good. The cakes are fresh and last for days, you can even freeze them. I love the many choices of flavors.

I love the original pound cake man. I know it’s the same one , but I have tried this place several times like I loved the pound cake originally in the food trucks- I have even purchased whole ones for Christmas for years, not sure why these are so dry and different. Maybe someone else is among them? I know a lot can go into baking and it’s a science. I don’t want to make a bad review , but I also want to make it known since I am not the only one feeling the same. I really thought it was me. The other side of the restaurant which is a different owner? Also have tried few times just not impressed.

We came to the brick and mortar location on a Saturday at lunch time. Despite the website saying they "always" have chocolate chip slices, we had to ask twice to get one. The first time, the cashier at the front said they didn't have any. When we finished eating our meal, we asked if they would have any ready soon. This time, the manager went back to check and they were able to slice a cake for us. The cake was dry and slightly burnt on the bottom. We probably won't be returning.

I was so excited at Fall for Greenville when I sampled the pound cakes from "The Pound cake Man."We got some cupcakes from the buisness yesterday and the experience was completely different!!It was terrible. Dry and tastelessTiny cupcakes and even the frosting was bad.We will never go back!!!

Major Disappointment!!Four different cupcakes & all were extremely dry and no taste. Like they had been baked like days ago, or were frozen and thawed??. Seriously overpriced for the size, and the slices of cake were broken pieces and crumbs in a small plastic cup. ?? Will not be returning.

Beautiful cupcakes, but some didn’t taste like we expected. Had good flavor, but most of the flavor was in the icing. Was expecting it to taste like cupcakes but tasted more like pound cake. Still tasted great but wasn’t what we were expecting.
