Went here last night for my wedding anniversary. I’ve only lived in Greenwood a few years and had yet to eat at Montagues. Our food was good not great. The rolls weren’t homemade and were hard. My wife got the seafood Charleston which was good, I had the chicken Willa. I think it’s overpriced for the quality and decor. There’s not a great food scene in Greenwood so I guess that’s how they manage to charge what they do.
We recently moved here from the Philadelphia area and were thinking that "finer" dining was now in our past. Until now. Everything about our visit was great! Starting with a well crafted French Martini (and I wasn't met with a "what's that?" when I ordered) and warm fresh bread with dipping oils, to the entrees, all was good. Geat night out.Ask for Miller at the Bar and then get an Old Fashion. They have a great bourbon selection.Then try the house, prime ribeye and slap some onions and mushrooms on it.Chefs perfection / Well prepared by the chef/ culinary team.Everyone is treated like a regular.
