We were intrigued with the diversity of the menu we saw online and decided we had to try this place out. We all enjoyed what we ordered. We enjoyed the complimentary cornbread so much we asked if we could buy some to take home.. AJ, the owner hooked us up with some and, took us on a tour of the new bar and event center he's created to bring entertainment to the area. We'll definitely be going back to try other dishes and see who's performing.

This place is freaking AWESOME!!! We didn't know what to expect but the menu was incredible, the food even better, and the people were friendly and lots of smiles were exchanged. AJ served us some of the best corn bread we have ever eaten!!Schedule you wedding or event at Maine's Event center. You could do the wedding and the reception there. They would even cater their incredible food for you.We will have to return because I've got to try their fried ribs!! Got to try breakfast, too. They start serving from 6 am M-F.Kid-friendliness: Have a TV just for the kids

Me and a friend went here for drinks and a quick bite and left very disappointed. I ordered the fried fish with dirty rice and macaroni as my sides. The food was horrible. The dirty rice was not done, the fish was fried so crispy it did not have that flaky element to it anymore and the macaroni did not taste homemade. The service wasn’t great either, we had a male bartender who was full of life but the others did not give us a very welcoming feeling, failing to greet us apon entry.

I am a native of Greenwood but currently live in Brooklyn, NY. I’ve always wanted my hometown to have restaurants with menu items you could get in major cities but it just seemed out of reach for Greenwood until the Maine Event. This restaurant made me feel like I was back eating in my Caribbean neighborhood in New York! The service was great and the food was excellent, hot, fresh, and well seasoned. I was bragging and sending photos of my food to my friends back in New York proud of what is now being offered in Greenwood. Also the prices are great! I spent under $100 on dinner for me and 2 guests with appetizers! Side note: if the $100 steak being out of your price range is enough to make you leave a poor review, maybe you should just stay in your range (there are many affordable items on the menu) and strive for greater.
