Best meal I have had down here yet. By a long shot…the shrimp and grits?!? Stupid good. The pimento cheese dip? Seriously. It’s just above anything else. Service was prompt. We sat outside under a large canopy/tent/umbrella. Fun vibe. Would absolutely come back again. Maybe even tomorrow…!Wheelchair accessibility: Not bad. They have a side gate to get in which is a bit gentler ramp than the one on the main entrance.

It used to be 5 star great but no longer. Felt very rushed. Entrees arrived before we had finished our starters. Quality of food has slipped a lot. Indoor atmosphere is loud and bright. Fortunately, we were there on a Groupon (I can now see why they have to do those) but we will not be back.

Shrimp and Grits were thin with a few overcooked shrimp on top with 4 pieces of sausage. Cheese looked like it was sprinkled on top which had separated by the time we got home. The Bischick was dry and the fruit side was as well. Key Lime Pie was small and tasted store bought. Very disappointed.

Food and service are good. However, they would not honor a Printed Groupon even though the fine print says "use the app (or print it out). So, we lost $70 on our bill.

My wife and I have visited this restaurant frequently and bring guests when on the island. This time our experience was not as pleasant as usual and we brought friends who were looking forward to a great meal based on our recommendation. When we sat down we were greeted by our server , Cookie, who explained the specials and said she would be back before we could order a cocktail . When Cookie returned we wanted to order a cocktail and enjoy our company with a leisurely meal however Cookie told us if it were busy we would have to wait two hours for this table and we needed to order drinks and dinner all together now. I was shocked and disappointed , we placed our orders, were served our cocktails and immediately after we received our entrees. In hind sight this was unacceptable and I should have not allowed Cookie to dictate the speed of service. We probably would have had a second cocktail and perhaps a bottle of wine but instead we were rushed into ordering and had to drink our cocktail with dinner. Truly a terrible experience. When a good restaurant becomes so full of itself that they feel you are lucky to be there they need to rethink how important their guests are to their success. The food was fine and other than this issue service was OK. I am not sure I will return.

Very disappointed this visit. I was anticipating the Shrimp and Grits, unfortunately it was nothing even remotely close to that pictured in articles claiming "best" Shrimp and Grits at Lowcountry Backyard in Hilton Head. Served in a soup bowl rather than pasta bowl, the shrimp were small and didn't appear to be freshly grilled. There were a few very thin slices of what tasted like turkey kielbasa, no brown gravy, and nothing to accent the presentation. With a whopping $23.95 price tag, it was very underwhelming, just poor all the way around. We won't be back.
Everything is good. Had blackened grouper sandwach and crab bisque. But make sure you try the banana pudding! INCREDIBLE!
