We went last night for dinner and overall we'd sum it up with “it was so-so”. Not terrible, the food was fine, but not great. Our server was very pleasant but service itself was average. The place lacks ambience and doesn't live up to its marketing which depicts it as more upscale. It definitely not that. Overall a very forgettable meal and experience.

We love Alexander's, great atmosphere, the view of the stream passing by, the ambiance, and the staff are all great. The prime rib was a bit tough which is unusual as I have had it several times previously. We'll certainly be back!

There were 5 if us dining in the bar. We got appetizers including oysters, calamari and scallops. For dinner, we had the pork chop braised, short ribs, and prime rib all wonderful ! Our server, Eric was exceptional, warm and attentive. We will be back!!!
We had high hopes but it's hard to recover from an overcooked steak, (server never came back to check and see how the food was or I would've sent it back) and the only thing that could've made up for it was a glass a cab to wash it down but I also never got that from our server, (hostess brought it after she finally checked on us.) It was an overall disappointing experience.

Always a great environment other than congestion around cashier area. Do prefer the brunch offering from a few years ago where you can pick your entree, pick your appetizer, drink inclusive. Felt buffet was a little overwhelming and can't justify total cost of meal.

Service was good until a diner noticed food stuck on their wine glass when it was delivered. They asked for a new glass. After that, the waiter's attitude and attentiveness took a noticeable change for the worse. Calamari in the seafood pasta was overcooked as was the pork chop. Disappointing!

Some confusion with our reservation The ambiance was good, but slightly marred by the sound level and the seating. There me presentation and tastes was quite good and the service was excellent. Overall, it was almost what I expected. The value was acceptable.
Alexander's is always delightful. We go on the first night of every visit to HHI as it is ideally located in Palmetto Dunes. The restaurant is lovely and has an excellent view. The service is outstanding and so is the food. The bacon-wrapped shrimp are to die for. There is an excellent wine list as well.

From the lovely ladies that great you when you in the door to the beautiful ambiance of this first rate restaurant, you are in for a wonderful dining experience. While the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was quite poor and the service was slow at first, and then they seemed to be trying to move us out as quickly as possible. I had three appetizers: my fried green tomatoes were tasteless and tough, the scallops fishy and undercooked, and the "oysters mockefeller" were just weird, and only lukewarm.My wife's Caesar salad was bland and just covered with shredded parmesan (and I mean covered) and her seafood pasta, while not bad, was nothing to write home about.Finally, we had a good laugh before driving to the restaurant (it probably should have served as a warning though): their website states the following under their dress code "Any patron not adhering to these guidelines will be asked to leave and correct their errors."Unlikely we'll return.

We made our reservation tye day before at our desired time, but even for a Tuesday in early March, it was quite busy. We were seated by our hostess, and within 5 minutes, our server introduced herself, and reviewed the specials fir the evening. She left us with a cocktail and wine menu. She returned about 8 minutes later to take our orders. Drinks arrived in about another 8 minutes, and our appetizers arrived in about another 10 minutes. They were delicious! My soup came about 10 minutes later, along with the wine we ordered for dinner. Timing on the arrival of our entre's was perfect, as was the food! All portions were generous to the point of almost not being able to finish! Dessert was a house chocolate mousse, personalized in two little chocolate labels - Happy Birthday, and Happy Anniversary. I/we were celebrating both. The wine list is “compact”, but well-curated, with a nice selection of varietals and regions and prices. The meal was certainly not inexpensive, but everything presented good value, in my opinion, and the service was excellent! I would definitely go again!

I made a reservation to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were treated so well from the minute we walked in the door! Terri, the hostess greeted us, wished my husband Happy Birthday and brought us to a table right by the window. Our server, Angela brought us drinks and warm bread. We had the “Early Dinner”, she crab soup, prime rib for my husband and fish for me. Everything was delicious. They even brought him a chocolate dessert!
Michelle's recommendations were spot on. Kudo's to the chef on the catch of the day....striped bass ...excellent....and my wife said her twin lobster tails was the best dinner she has had in quite some time. Stayed 6 weeks at Villamare so it was a great evening to walk to dinner! We will see you again next year!
