Our server Ryan was awesome she was very attentive and her personality was great. She made our visit a great experience.Kid-friendliness: We had our 3 year old with us and the wait staff interacted with him great.

My fiancé and I dined here after it being suggested to us by a local. Highly recommend not dining at this establishment. Our dining experience began with a very rushed “welcome” of asking for a reservation and seating us. Our waitress never told us her name and rushed us to order. Our drinks were refilled once at the end of our meal and our appetizers came out at separate times one before and one with our meal. The food was not bad, but nothing amazing and not really worth the price. Our waitress genuinely seemed annoyed at us throughout our whole meal. But the bussers were so very nice and they should be the waitstaff! Overall, customer service goes a very very long way and will make or break an experience. Once that is established I believe they could have potential as their location, decor, and plating skills were excellent, until then I would recommend saving your money.

I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately had an incredibly disappointing experience. The quality of the food was subpar, and when I brought it to the attention of the manager, David, he was dismissive and unhelpful. His attitude was unprofessional and left me unable to enjoy my meal. I would advise others to save their money and dine elsewhere until improvements are made in both food quality and customer service.

Our service and meal were both superb! The pear salad is always a favorite! I had the yellowfin tuna, my husband the scallops, and our friends enjoyed the special which was halibut.

As always, Ela's is such a wonderful experience. The ambiance, the staff, friendly and helpful , the food all so scrumptious. So many restaurants in Hilton Head... this one you do not want to miss.
We did not like the table on the second floor. This was an overflow room with no ambiance. Hostess told us our table in the main dining room was not ready when we arrived, we had a reservation for over a week. Food was rushed, it was not worth the money. First time diners, we will not go back.

Our pan seared grouper tasted a little fishy and the ranch dressing had an odd tangy taste. The salad was very fresh but dressing kind of ruined it. Will come back but will not order the grouper which we usually love.
Food quality was fine, but the flavors were not as robust as we have enjoyed at other fine dining type restaurants. Our server was high energy and the pace of our experience felt rushed. If I'm paying $500 for dinner for 4 to celebrate a special occasion, I would return to Palmetto Bluff for dinner. I would give the restaurant a 3-3.5/5 stars. I'm also comparing this to high quality dining around the country and I think this is a nice restaurant for a “resort” vacation area. But for locals, this is not a 4.7 rating. Flavor and quality are subjective comparatively speaking, so judge for yourself.

Celebrated our anniversary at ELA's. Welcomed at the door with a special table and a glass of champange. The oysters were some of the best. The crab appetizer and flounder were both outstanding. Great meal and service! May be an annual tradition for us!
Ela's is always a fantastic experience. From the incredible menu selections to the ambiance and service followed by the outstanding meal. We love Ela's On the Water and highly recommend to everyone.

We ate outside on the deck overlooking the marina. Wonderful view. The service was slow at first but then turned out to be fine. The cocktails and food were really good, especially the halibut.

Ela's is one of the few quality restaurants open on Monday and as a result, it's busy. Make a reservation. We enjoyed an excellent meal. Great experience. Will return.
